I’ll be spending most of my summer researching and writing ✍️
Saving this so I can come back and quote it when I finally get through my COMPS 😁😁

Please Read #COP31
Fellow Nigerian youth seeking funding to attend #COP31, it is important to remember that opportunities and support are often built on a track record of genuine work, consistency, relationships, and credible recommendations. Before approaching organisations or individuals for sponsorship, ask yourself what you have done within your community or sector that demonstrates your commitment to climate action. Your work should provide evidence of your passion and readiness to make meaningful use of the opportunity. If that track record is not yet there, start now. Volunteer, lead a community initiative, contribute to research, support an organisation, or develop a solution that creates measurable impact.
At the same time, we must become more proactive and intentional about financing our participation in international opportunities. Some of us begin saving well in advance because we understand that sponsorship may not always be available. Build relationships genuinely, document your impact, seek opportunities early, prepare a realistic budget, and explore multiple funding options rather than waiting until the last minute.
My message to fellow young people is simple: prepare early, do the work, build credibility, nurture meaningful relationships, and position yourself so that when opportunities come, there is clear evidence of why someone should believe in and support you.

Under my BoysLivesMatter project, I met this young boy at a washing bay and discovered that he had beautiful exam results. I documented his story, and someone saw it and decided to step in.
Today, he has his full fees, hostel, learning materials and a laptop fully covered and is set to begin at UniMAC! 🎓❤️
I can’t wait to share his journey. This is one of the testimonies of #BoysLivesMatter.

The EU has banned TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide) - an ingredient found in gel manicures.
This ingredient is a "photoinitiator", which allows gel polish to cure under ultraviolet (UV) light to make the varnish more durable and hold its colour for longer.
Several animal studies have linked the chemical TPO to long-term fertility damage and reproductive issues.
It has just been reclassified as a Category 1B CMR (Carcinogenic, Mutagenic, or Reprotoxic) substance with reproductive implications.
