In September, @IndianExpress' investigation revealed that two Election Commissioners had written separately to the Cabinet Secretary seeking action against a senior officer inside the EC.
What happened to those letters is now on record.
File notings obtained under RTI by Commodore Lokesh Batra (retd) show the Cabinet Secretariat discussed the letters on August 3 & 4, then decided to do nothing beyond acknowledging them.
The reasoning? Sandhu and Joshi had written in their individual capacity, not as the Commission.
“In the absence of any official communication from the Commission as a whole, any action at this stage may be inappropriate. It may also be construed as interference in the functioning of the Constitutional Body.”
The Commission, as our investigation has shown, had not met as a full body for FOUR months.

Let's see how many in the Bombay film fraternity stand up for one of their own (Imran Khan) now. This should be fun.

Indian authorities are using abusive methods to crack down on thousands of peaceful protesters in New Delhi and other Indian cities.
The protests, led by the Gen Z Cockroach Janta Party, opposition parties, student organizations, and civil society groups, have demanded the resignation of the country’s top election official over alleged wrongdoing and the scrapping of a contentious voter list revision process. hrw.org/news/2026/10/13/indi…

India’s Election Commission will potentially axe more than 130m names from its voter lists—tens of millions of which will be real voters. Many political analysts are calling it the country’s biggest electoral scandal in decades economist.com/asia/2026/10/0…

For the 2nd consecutive year, my BCCI accreditation has been rejected despite being the only journalist from the whole of J&K who covers these events. Reason? I don’t bow down to JKCA and report things as they are.
The sad part is that I won’t be able to cover the #IraniCup. +

You should also shut down all the shopping malls since there might be a theft in one of them. And close the roads because I heard someone was speeding.
