My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:
1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.
2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.
This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word.
All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.
Incredible and terrifying at the same time but this feels like just the beginning.
BREAKING: Microsoft, $MSFT, is offering buyouts to 60,000 workers as part of the company’s efforts to cut costs amid AI adoption, per Bloomberg.
Personnel on select teams in the US, Canada, India, and the UK at a vice president level and below will be eligible.
This reflects ~27% of Microsoft's total workforce.
Accurate
Elon is not really a person.
He is the human embodiment of network effects.
When you have been operating at the level and breadth that he has been you aren’t really dealing with an individual.
You are dealing with a deep bench of talent and capital with a comms guy who is addicted to Twitter at its head.
The same warnings about underestimating Trump the person vs Trumps cabinet apply to Musk but x100 and with far less irrationality injected and with much higher caliber of people.
Does he over-promise, over-hype, over-hyperbolize? Of course.
But I would guess the median IQ and depth of expertise of the bench around Musk is higher than that of any nation state.
I thought this was obvious to most people.
About to see legacy telecoms go under
Replying to @aaronburnett
We definitely need to explain this in detail. Veterans of the cellular industry look at the chess board of existing pieces and don’t see a solution.
They don’t understand that SpaceX is developing entirely new pieces that fundamentally alter the strategic landscape.
This guy is comparing Tesla to Hyundai and Audi… lmfao

You don’t have even the tiniest bit of skepticism? Realism? 😅 I love tech and the future is going to be fun, but imagine if Hyundai or Audi or any other company pulled this stunt
If you’re working with Ai daily to create something… it’s not that it’s current form is revolutionary (although it is), it’s the ‘rate of change’ and improvement every few weeks that’s scary.
I work in the AI industry. I burn about 1.5 billion tokens a week. Between personal and business I have 8 AI subscriptions. And I still think I am falling behind the accelerating rate of change. The last three months alone have been a quantum jump in capabilities. Nobody outside the industry understands how insane this is going to be. Like a whole other industrial revolution, but compressed into 10 years. Nobody is ready for the societal implications. It's going to be a 10.0 earthquake plus an F5 hurricane all at once, globally.
