Wisconsin said yes to equality. No child in this state will ever again be treated differently because of the color of their skin. Not in a classroom, not in a hiring office, not in a government program. My three sons will grow up as young men in a state that promises them equal treatment under the law. Not more, not less. Equal. That promise is now written into our constitution, and it will be theirs for the rest of their lives. Every mother wants one thing above all: a future for her children that's brighter than her own. I fought for this out of a mother's love and devotion, so my boys, and every child in Wisconsin, can build their futures free from the shackles of oppression. To the nameless and faceless people of Wisconsin who were judged by their race at the hands of those in power: your stories mattered. This history will never be forgotten, and with yesterday's vote, it will never be repeated. My most sincere thanks to the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL). You stood up for equal treatment in the courtroom and in the public square when it wasn't easy or popular. Wisconsin families are forever grateful. Thank you to every parent, neighbor and volunteer who knocked doors, made calls and refused to stay quiet. You did this. Equal means equal. Wisconsin, thank you. 🇺🇸
