Actually we were correct to note Trump’s routinely bizarre, obsequious posture toward Putin. Just because you chose not to see it until now when it’s shoved directly in everyone’s face doesn’t make us hysterical, it makes you transparently wrong all along.

This is no way to treat your constituents, let alone the family of an Epstein survivor.

Sky and Amanda Roberts joined Killin at a press conference Monday, where they said Crank’s staff laughed at their message today—over a year after the two requested a meeting with Crank’s office and stopped receiving responses.

New ad from the DCCC & Jessica Killin in #CO05 features family members of the late Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre.
"Our own congressman, Jeff Crank, refused to meet with us. Then, when he had the chance to ... release the Epstein files, he repeatedly voted to cover them up."
Are we really characterizing being asked to feed a lizard as "severe abuse"?
Asked Sen. Dan Sullivan if he buys the explanation from Mary Peltola’s camp that she was grieving at the time of her outbursts and explosive behavior as detailed by NYT report.
“No, I do not,” he told me. “But I think it's very sad, very disturbing, as so many Alaskans had to get put through that kind of severe abuse — which is very disturbing, but not surprising.”

“I accept full responsibility for lapses in judgment by people within my inner circle” is a line for the ages
Kawhi Leonard, through his new agent, Harrison Gaines, issues statement:
“Integrity and respect for this game are fundamental to who I am. I accept full responsibility for lapses in judgment by people within my inner circle and regret the distraction this situation has caused the fans and my family.
I entered into my contract with the Clippers as well as the agreements in question in good faith, fully committed to fulfilling my obligations and with no knowledge of any intent on anyone's part to circumvent the salary cap.
For 15 years, my priority has been giving everything to my family, the game, and those I share the court with. As I return to Toronto, I am focused on what I can control, closing this chapter, and moving forward with a clean slate."

You’re not going to trick us into believing you’re a normal American couple again, nice try
Keri Russell calls herself and partner Matthew Rhys “not that famous”:
"People don’t really care about us — in a great way. Some people in our neighborhood are very famous, and their life is very different. And it seems so hard. I love the level of our life,” she says. “I love having a job. I like occasionally getting into a restaurant when I can’t. I sometimes can’t get a dress, because I am not, you know, someone famous. But that’s the reality of our station. And I think it’s perfect."

Jessica Killin is, as the kids say, a thing.
It's time to start taking the #CO05 race seriously.

It is very sad that the Democratic Party, which is full of talented operatives, staffers, and consultants who just want to win, struggles so mightily to run a professional political operation at its highest levels. And in a year where the voters are begging us to do our best.

It is so insulting to District voters to imply that only people who support Trump are concerned about safety. I think nearly everyone who has contacted me about violence in my neighborhood is a registered Democrat.
Youth curfews and the viral Chipotle brawl come up. Here’s how each candidate answered:
Lewis George: says the curfew is dangerous, exposes young people to fed troops not trained in deescalation
Goodweather: he would use a curfew in the short term, but calls it an “extreme measure.” Would invest in mental health resources in long term.
McDuffie: supports curfew, says he will “treat these teen takeovers like the public safety emergency that they are.” He lambasts JLG, says she asked the council to delay the vote because “she put politics over public safety.”
“If we’re waiting for Janeese Lewis George to keep up safe, we’re going to be waiting for a long time.”
In her response, Lewis George points out McDuffie said at an earlier debate he was against the curfew, but says he allowed “Trump donor dollars” to change his mind.

Jason Collins, the NBA's first openly gay player, was a very good man who did a wonderful thing for the family of Matthew Shepard, who was murdered in a brutal hate crime. God bless Jason.

Today, I'm announcing that I'm running for the United States Senate.
I'm a fifth-generation Kansan. My family came here 147 years ago and settled in a town called Hope.
I'm running because Kansas — and our country — deserve better than what Washington has been giving us. We need leaders who put service above self, country before party, and people before politics.
I'm an independent-minded Democrat. I’ll lead by listening. And I'll be a champion for Kansas.
