Introducing Probe: The Agent-Native Research Stack. Our goal is simple: help AI/ML teams run better experiments, faster. Teams run research with agents now, but their work is disordered. They lose hours verifying what their agents actually did, managing environments and compute, and re-explaining company context their agents should already know. So we rebuilt the research stack from the ground up for agent-driven research. Probe brings core research tools, shared context from past experiments, and visibility into each run together in one platform. Teams can spend less time setting up infrastructure, supervising agents, and catching teammates up, and more time testing ideas. If you’re a research lab, scale your research team without sacrificing speed. If you’re an AI/ML team, stand up a research capability with the infrastructure of a frontier lab. See Probe for yourself: useprobe.ai/

Trump ran on cutting taxes. But once tariffs are counted, his policies are raising taxes and costs this year for every income group except the richest 1%, per a new report from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy. The reason: tariffs, which are largely passed on to consumers as higher prices, outweigh the tax cuts for most Americans. Even the right-leaning Tax Foundation calls the tariffs the largest U.S. tax increase as a share of GDP since 1993.

We keep improving performance across Claude, and you may have noticed it starts responding sooner! Claude Code now gzips the conversation it sends on every turn, so it reaches the model faster. Cloud sessions also start up as soon as you start typing.

This feels like the story of AI rn... incredible technology pointed at solving things most people don't consider problems.
Am I the only person who thinks booking a flight is incredibly easy and takes 5 min tops? Why is this the use case everyone defaults to, not just OpenAI

Impressive. And scary.
Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard. cellcog.ai/blog/tavus-gri… research.nvidia.com/labs/amri/proj… tech-ish.com/2026/10/02/tav…

The frustrating part is that there is SO MUCH potential to build amazing things... Everyone is getting lost in the vanity metrics and hype.
everything is fake - posts on here, ghostwritten - statistics, misleading - benchmarks, bullshit - reviews, paid for nearly every company is doing this. the frenzy over ai is showing me so few founders have any backbone

We instituted an official AI Writing Policy at @Clay. Massive thanks to @sophiebits on our engineering team who wrote this. Originally this was just for eng, but other teams found it so helpful we expanded it company-wide. Here are the four guiding principles: 1. You must stand behind every idea and sentence It is your responsibility to make sure that the entire document is representative of your own thoughts before you share it. 2. Writing is thinking Spending time on the writing process teaches you more about your topic. If you circumvent this process, you will walk away with a poorer understanding of the subject matter. 3. More time should be spent writing a document than consuming it If you generate a document from a short prompt then ask your readers to go through the longer output, you are disrespecting their time. They can talk to ChatGPT themselves if they want to. 4. Longer is not better AI makes it easy to generate long docs, and it loves padding them with sentences that say nothing. If you're producing docs from a short prompt, consider just sharing the prompt. You can read (and borrow) the full policy below. Hopefully we all communicate a bit more clearly now :)

We have not seen a caravan headed to the U.S. southern border in several years, why now? Oh yeah, there is an election coming and the GOP needs to scare you into voting because nothing else is working.
Over 400 aliens predominantly from Honduras entered Mexico on Thursday, ready to make their way to the US southern border… Here’s footage of the caravan. Someone is incentivizing this movement, this is not organic.

What can Astra do when given a humanoid embodiment? We built HomeBody to find out. Controlled by GPT Astra, it carries out long-horizon tasks in a previously unseen kitchen—from tidying up across the room to retrieving remembered objects from ambiguous requests—without environment-specific training data or additional policy learning. Here's how we did it 👀: tml.stanford.edu/homebody/
