October is Domestic Abuse Awareness 🕯️ Over 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men in the US have experienced rape, stalking, and/or physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. We need to do better and teach the next generation to break this cycle. #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth #YouAreNotAlone I created a funds raising campaign to support the production of "Paper Brides" 15% goes directly to Lotus Justice&Support Centre, an org initiated by @otiliamutu . Domestic abuse is a pattern of abusive behaviour in any relationship that is used by one partner or family member to gain or maintain power and control over another intimate partner or family member. Domestic abuse does not always involve physical violence. Sometimes victims may not recognise that they are experiencing abuse. We understand that emotional and financial abuse can be just as harmful as physical violence. There are many aspects, subtle moves or behaviors, victims don't even realize they are victims - that is why we need to speak about it more and more - I am building a project around this topic, to give more space to organizations helping this issue - so they can address local public. "Paper Brides" is a long term intense project, the production starts this Saturday in London and step by step, we go globally. Thank you, dear @Barbiares for collecting the support edition - it means so much!!! ⭕️🤍 Own my art for 0.01e - Paper Brides SP ⭕️link below
