For shits and giggles, I decided to look at the Norfrica tease in Isom#1. The lyrics on the pages of the book are actual lines in the song.
They really could have just locked the lyrics into a vault as part of a song that never gets fully revealed but they went the extra mile.
The Norfrica: Glorious Death #1 launch trailer is here—featuring the official in-universe single “Glorious Death.”
Pre-order the book and purchase the single on all major digital platforms!

Here's the thing.
These aren't unrelated.
The corporations allowed "woke", and likely even encouraged it, because they thought it was going to make them money.
They were convinced by "marketing specialists" and consultants.
Devs who agreed ran with it.
This led to games that didn't make money.
Which led EA to a private equity buy out.
Which led to the new owners cutting things that aren't profitable, so that they can free up money to invest in something that might.
That something is Star Wars.
This is a situation where all of these things are what led to this result - not a one of them is what did it in isolation.
Sooner we can discuss that instead of trying to crystallize it to just one element, the sooner the AAA and large corporations might fix something.
Though hopefully they'll just die so new things can rise out of the ashes.
NEW: Why did EA shut down BioWare? Twitter thinks the studio failed because it was too woke. BlueSky thinks Saudi Arabia killed the studio for being too gay.
The real reason? Star Wars bloomberg.com/news/newslette…
Something people like Joe here aren't ready to admit yet is that "culture war crap" and corporate meddling are one and the same. It's not an accident that these companies started getting ESG investments by pushing certain topics right when lootboxes died out

You are agreeing with me but are confused youself. Corporations are to blame more so than culture war crap that riles you up.
Joe: calls someone fat
Kaida: shows proof he isn't fat
Joe: "oh my god, you're posting gym selfies now?"
Joe, this behavior would be embarassing enough from a child, nevermind a grown ass man.

OOhhhh my god your gym selfies now?! 🤣 You are so tough!! you can win any X arguement now! At no moment in your stupid yelling triggered rant video did you make an actual coherent point other than screaming at me to shutup for hurting your feelings & not agreeing with your "Chud Victory". 🤔 "You came at me!" and now you are crying about my unfair mean "insult" response? are you not aware of the shit that comes outta your own mouth in vids or something? I honestly just repeated your "fat ass" remark to me back at you cuz I thought it was funny & now you in shambles trying to prove to me otherwise with gym selfies. 😂 Get back in "your lane" & continue to seethe about "wokeness" in gaming, fat ass.

The Intiverse is even more confusing to comprehend than the plot of Kingdom Hearts... or not, depending on who you ask
(Not spoiler-free)
I really think sometimes people underestimate the intelligence of animals. Cats like that evolved because they know what prey to attack and when to back off. It may not know exactly what a gun is or how it works, but it sure as hell knows what bad news looks like.

People who insist FF should only be turn based are wrong and stupid but people like you who look you dead in the eye and say 4 to 9 AREN'T turn based are just unhinged liers.

Personally, I disagree with the "stupid and wrong" assessment because I think there's a valid point to "all FF should be turn based". After all, if every game changes characters and world, then gameplay is all that's left to have someone look at the game and say "yeah, that's FF"
If Tim spent even just 10% of the time he spends bitching about Steam and instead opted to make Epic a better platform, Epic could have been a platform worth giving a single fuck about.
Tim Sweeney is taking another shot at Steam.
The Epic Games CEO claims Valve has “held gaming back for years” by locking PC games into Steamworks’ ecosystem.
Sweeney argues that Steam’s social features make it harder for players on PC to communicate cross-platform while also criticizing Steam’s 30% cut.
However, that claim isn’t completely accurate. Valve’s Steam Datagram Relay can also be used across other platforms.
As always, anyone arguing "atb isn't turn based" is being purposefully obtuse. You're waiting for a bar to fill for you to take your turn. Show it to someone who doesn't know what atb means and they'll say it's turn based. It's a distinction without a difference.
Ignoring that the sheer number of steam users makes any claim of "FFR sold about half on PS" utterly outlandish, it's also important to realize that FFR, being a pixel game was simply never going to be the game that revives Final Fantasy for the normies.

I always find it funny that when technology and especially AI is used with criminal data analysis, and pattern recognition, the concern always comes to race. It's almost as if they know who the problems are.

Look at how quickly this out of shape untrained male was able to grab the knife and close the distance. Never let anyone tell you a man with a knife is no threat to a man with a gun
I feel like at some point, people gave to realize that the "supposed same budget as Tsushima" thing is just a crock of shit, and that using "most sold" rankings instead of actual "copies sold" sales numbers as proof of a game selling well is just lying by omission.
As someone who is fine with AI, this really is just the unfortunate reality of using AI at this point in time. There are people who aren't ready for this technology. As such, it needs to be understood that the willingness to buy stuff AI had a hand in isn't there yet.
Tim is right. Steam's AI disclosure rule is abhorrent.
I recently shipped an AI-assisted game, and that label doesn't help anyone pick a game. It's a target. It tells the angry mob exactly where to send the review bombs.
Nobody discloses which engine, which brushes, or which plugins they used. AI gets singled out for one reason: so devs can be punished for using it.
I mean, I don't think there'd be a problem if that were made an official rule. There's already Steam curator lists by regular users that catalog this.

Let’s explore that idea. Say there is a large contingent of gamers that don’t like democrats or, equivalently, republicans. Should Valve force developers to list their political affiliation? Is that pro-consumer? Do you think that policy would have a positive effect on gaming?
Yeah, no I hate to say it but "it's not a turn on for most of us" is just dead wrong. Have you seen popular books lately? And keep in mind, there are almost no books popular with men anymore. Books popular with women these days make 50 Shades look innocent.
Never understood the male fascination with doing this to their women. Why would you waste her hands tied rather than feeling them grab your back, arms and ass, pulling you tighter?!
And it’s not a turn on for most of us either!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Surveys show bondage/restraint is a common fantasy and turn-on for many women, e.g. 52% fantasized about being tied up for pleasure in one study and ~85% had related fantasies in a large US survey; many who try it report high arousal/enjoyment.
