This is the job I’m supposed to have. Killing a fake snake in front of monkeys and then becoming their hero.

3rd horseman is commonly called Famine, but he specifically does NOT blight crops, does not damage food. His weapon is the scales, and "destroys" not by weather or worm, but market manipulation. A closer name might be "Inflation" or "Capital" or "Bread Fixing" or "Galen Weston."

The vision of John of Patmos's apocalyptic famine isn't a crop blighted to unwholesomeness by God; it's a world where there's plenty to eat, unspoiled, but no one can afford it.

Armadillos collect leaf litter which they use to build nests inside their burrows Their unique structure makes carrying things a challenge, which they overcome by positioning leaves against their abdomen and hopping backward towards their nests. xitter.gq/blabla112345/status/16…

Seeing a lot of misinfo that the X logo was taken from a Unicode character; not true sadly. I hate to say it but it’s actually quite well designed, let me break down why 🧵 (1/X)

This is a strangler fig tree, Inside this tree is a hollow space where a different tree stood The strangler fig's seeds have made their way into the canopy of a host tree and germinated. As the fig's roots grow, they cascade down the trunk, Once they are in the ground it competes for nutrients and water with the host. Then It gradually tightens its grip around the host tree This process hinders the flow of water and nutrients, causing the host tree to weaken and eventually die. Over time, the strangler fig takes over completely, once the process is complete, the original tree decomposes, a hollow centre is all that remains to mark its existence
