If you're voting mostly because of economic affordability issues in the upcoming midterm elections, don't vote for Republicans. And you shouldn't have voted for them in the last 40 years. FACTS:
Since 1981, Democratic presidents have overseen the creation of 3 times as many private-sector jobs as their Republican counterparts. Excluding Reagan, the net private-sector job growth of the past 3 GOP presidents is zero.

Americans are indicating that they severely dislike his policies. Trump has decided that the only way he can win elections now is by cheating, lying and ripping apart democracy. Are we sure Trump has a U.S. Passport? Sure don't seem like it. (@WashingtonPost)

Witkoff, Kushner and Trump are showing their true character as Putin partisan diplomacy ignoramuses if they truly believe giving Putin more money will make him back down on his 4 1/2 years of terrorist attacks on Ukraine. (@nytimes)

When CBS asked Trump who his 250-foot Arc de Trump was being built for, he said, “Me.” Gross. Using @VoteVets’ analysis, @WashingtonPost reports his Arc de Trump will cast a shadow over JFK’s tomb & 50K+ graves across Arlington Cemetery. It must be stopped washingtonpost.com/investiga…

Thrilled to see this. Congrats and thanks to Mayor @SadiqKhan. And various videos here on Twitter are showing the traffic on Wigmore St (where the Oxford buses went to) is so far not nearly as bad as some predicted. So, Sadiq, what's next? Brick Lane? Soho?
Oxford Street with no traffic. From this morning, nearly 1km between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street is closed to cars, taxis, buses, bikes, scooters and pedicabs, with deliveries only between midnight and 7am. It’s the first time in the street’s history. Half a million people walk it every day, and it was first promised back in 2016. 16 bus routes have changed: the 7 and 94 now end at Marble Arch, and the 98, 139 and 390 go via Wigmore Street, with new stops about 200m away. 💳 Save across West London with the UB1UB2 Card: 180+ offers at local spots. The Flaming Lips have announced a new LP, “The Teardrop Throbs,” their 1st in 7 years, 1st without key member Steven Drozd, to be released early in 2027. Here is the 1st single, “God Will Control The Werewolves,” a fetching, emotional, lightly psych track: youtube.com/watch?v=AIEU9qKb…

“The difference in our politics isn’t red and blue. [It] is people who are locked out versus the people doing the locking out. And I always want to be on the side of the folks who are locked out, and the Democrats always need to be.” Yessir, @AbdulElSayed. youtube.com/watch?v=fmodf-lN…

“When we step aside from corporate and special interest money, when we speak directly to the issues of working people and the power of a union, and the need to provide health care, we can win elections and we can win elections anywhere.” Amen @AbdulElSayed youtube.com/watch?v=fmodf-lN…

Didn’t know @AbdulElSayed’s opponent in his Senate race, Mike Rogers, was one of @JonStewart’s main opponents in getting 9/11 responders health care for the cancers they picked up on 9/11. They both have choice words for this S.O.B. starting at 39:30⬇️. youtube.com/watch?v=fmodf-lN…

This is the f**king biz model for AI. Just like *stealing* our identities and personal info for their own personal gain with no compensation has been the illegitimate business model for Facebook and Google since the turn of the century.

Whatever about “deeper truths,” or @JoniMitchell getting a Grammy. Who cares? But this is one of Joni’s 5 best albums, and rarely gets the recognition it deserves. She’s not young anymore in 1994, but her wisdom, voice, melody and compassion are more devastating than ever.
“Mitchell's words are honed by a life dedicated to the notion that songs, like all great art, can illuminate deeper truths.” John Milward, Rolling Stone, 1994. Diving deep into ‘Turbulent Indigo,’ on its 32nd anniversary today. Chalk full of twists and turns, this album would earn Joni the Grammy Award for Best Pop Album in 1996.

Would be gratifying if another of Trump’s hubristic choices of severely unqualified political candidates (in this case, Lindsey Graham’s sister Darline) failed and rewarded Democrats with another step closer to ruling the Senate. (@Guardian)
