73 miles in and around Keswick - so pleased to finish the @CumbriaWayUltra Virtual event at the weekend. Thanks to the Jo's (And Ali) for their leg support especially @cassini80.
The Cumbria Way Ultra starts at The Gill, Ulverston, with the start of the trail being marked by the distinctive sculpture by Chris Brammell. Installed in 2000, the sculpture represents a compass with a cairn of rocks in the centre. The rocks represent the geology along the trail
And we're off, what are your plans for today? Trail, road, treadmill? @MountainFuel_UK @RaidlightUK

Unfortunately, CWU & CWU30 2020 are cancelled. I did hope, although in honesty with doubts, that the Covid-19 situation might have improved sufficiently to allow the events to take place, but this just isn’t the case. All entrants have been emailed with the cancellation options.
In the Lakes this weekend? Come and visit us at FIT Cumbria at Rheged, find out about Pure Outdoors Events for 2020 and receive a 10% event entry discount, valid for ANY event...

Last month two of our employees tackled a gruelling Lake District marathon to raise support for @samaritans. The @CumbriaWayUltra is a 73 mile journey through iconic trails. Congratulations to them both and what a fantastic gesture for charity!
