.@BillSimmons talks about Yaxel and the Warriors: "I was convinced before last night that this was 1 of the 5 worst teams in the league and maybe 1 of the 3 worst, and the moment Steph got hurt, this was going to be beyond grim. That leads me to my 1st overreaction after 1 week. Overreaction #1, Yaxel might have single-handedly saved the Steph era, like for real, and I can't tell you how good he was in this Denver game last night . . . Yaxel looked like mid-2010's LeBron in this game. I don't say that lightly because mid-2010's LeBron was awesome. They're running the offense through him. He was all over the place on defense. He was rebounding. He was initiating stuff. He was getting to the basket whenever. It was unbelievable. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe how good he was."

bittersweet opportunity 😔
Can’t help but think with all these injuries in the West, we’re a legit starting center and another rotational piece away from Top 6 being a real possibility 🙏

wow 💔
Just in: Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his ailing right knee and miss up to two months, sources tell ESPN.

Yaxel Lendeborg is questionable for tomorrow's game in Minnesota. Left foot inflammation. He was icing it postgame in Denver last night. All the other Warriors veterans are cleared.

How many times is Steph 🐐 going to have a perfect game and not be the main headline? Yax put up 31/12/6 in his 4th NBA game Absolutely mind-boggling 🤯

Yaxel on if the game is already slowing down for him: "I would say offensively, yes. I hope you guys noticed last game, I was pretty much just throwing my body into people trying to create while I'm in the air. Today was more so like having a little more patience and figuring out when to jump and when not to jump. On the defensive end, I still have to figure out my weakside help. I gave up a lot of buckets down low, just thinking like my teammates are going to get back and they're thinking I'm going to stay there, so it's just a little confusing and it's all on my part. So, I'm going to watch a lot more film and finally see if I can figure it out one day."

Steve Kerr on Yaxel Lendeborg’s 31-12-6 in Denver “In all the critical spots, we put the ball In his hands. For a rookie to be that advanced already is extremely rare.” “He’s going to be a guy who closes games.”

it's night and day when the non-Steph unit plays through Yaxel and gets him touches 🤷‍♂️
Kerr: “Basically in all the critical moments of the game, we just put the ball in his hands. And for a rookie to be that advanced already, it’s extremely rare.”
