I .. errr .. He wants to kick the Arabs out of Arabia? He wants to legalise extortion? Is this a sane world, with grown ups in? ….

I admit that I completely broke down today. I cried uncontrollably. I couldn’t hold myself together after witnessing what I saw with my own eyes.
Today, we went to film a journalistic report inside the displacement tents along the seashore. I swear, what we witnessed was beyond what any human being should have to endure.
I saw men crying bitterly. Men I had never seen cry when they lost their children or when their homes were destroyed. Today, I saw them crying because they were powerless to do the simplest thing: protect their children from the water and the cold.
We spoke to families who told us they had spent the entire night carrying their children in their arms after floodwater covered the floors of their tents and soaked their mattresses. They couldn’t find a single dry place to put their children. They couldn’t even give them a few hours of sleep.
I saw children no older than five, without proper clothes to protect them from the cold, without heating, and without a dry place to sleep. Children shivering inside tents that cannot keep out the rain, protect them from the wind, or provide even the most basic sense of safety.
What more must happen for this world to act? How much more suffering must people endure before someone remembers that they are human beings?
I am sick of this world. I am sick of its hypocrisy and empty slogans. To hell with a world that talks endlessly about human rights while leaving children to drown inside their tents. To hell with everyone who has witnessed this suffering and chosen silence, and to hell with the governments and institutions that have the power to act but continue to turn their backs on us.

Benjamin Moser, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Anti-Zionism: A Jewish History, challenges mainstream Zionist narratives. He links the movement to empire, racism, and sectarian division, arguing it was “a terrible idea” from the start and that “Israel is not something with problems. It is a problem.”
He highlights early Zionist attitudes toward Jewish identity, including Herzl’s 1897 “Mauschel” essay (using antisemitic tropes against Jewish anti-Zionists) and Arthur Schnitzler’s line that the only true antisemite he’d met was Theodor Herzl. The book also profiles figures like British Cabinet minister Edwin Montagu, a Jewish opponent of the Balfour Declaration who warned it would fuel antisemitism by implying dual loyalty and serve British imperial interests in Palestine. It examines Jabotinsky’s 1923 “Iron Wall” theory, which argued that voluntary agreement with Palestine’s native population was impossible and that Zionist colonisation could only proceed under the protection of overwhelming military force (“an iron wall which the native population cannot breach”) until Arabs lost hope of resistance.
Raised liberal Zionist, he shifted after visiting the West Bank and researching Jewish anti-Zionist history. #Zionism #JewishHistory #History #Politics #BalfourDeclaration #IronWall

We are drowning in our tents💔

We're being told that we might not have enough gas to keep the power on throughout winter and we might face blackouts when all we have to do is turn the fucking data centres off?

We do not need Andy Burnham’s permission to investigate Britain’s role in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
He refused an inquiry. 80,000 people answered him in thirteen days.
Truth does not need the Prime Minister’s signature. It needs 100,000 of ours.

Humans thought they were so smart in inventing plastic that has become a curse as it is not biodegradable
Yet Bees could already make plastic and not just any old plastic but biodegradable plastic
Yet humans spend billions killing Bees to profit pesticide industry
Nature already invented biodegradable plastic. Scientists want to reverse engineer it.
Cellophane bees make a polyethylene-like plastic that breaks down in soil within a year.
A new PNAS study shows how it could inspire biodegradable bioplastics.

When the government first published Palantir’s contract, 417 out of its 586 pages were entirely blacked out. We took legal action and forced them to reveal crucial details about protecting personal data. Now, ministers are at it again.
We were in court this week: goodlaw.social/wfnc
Families? Orphans.
How many times do you think you’re paying, to access your own data? 💰

That’s not what the public see.
PR for AI Data Centres is almost nonexistent. What are they for? We see fusion of Tech and State with oligarchic control at high subscription prices.
We see hacking by AI almost daily. Virtual replacing human.
Resource eating eyesores. #AI
If it weren’t so devastating it would be Awesome! .. the Age of Collapse (and no, banks, billionaires and insurance firms aren’t coming to rescue you. Get yourself a good government!! 😱😳🫣😶🌫️🫥

WHEN OPPOSING GENOCIDE BECOMES EXTREMISM, WHAT DOES THAT MAKE THOSE WHO DEFEND IT?
I completely relate to @y_alibhai words here. This is the stuff that keeps me awake at night. And it's why I've been up since 5am writing this.
I can see the impact of our government's increasingly aggressive crackdown on anti-Israel and anti-Zionist speech. But let's call it what it actually is. It's about being anti-genocide. Pro-humanity.
I recently expressed my absolute rage at the Bell Review, which risks turning the question of genocide into a matter of political impartiality, where teachers are expected to present competing perspectives on atrocities rather than unequivocally defend fundamental human rights. The potential chilling effect on teachers and children is horrifying.
Then we have the appalling smears of antisemitism directed at @TheGreenParty and @ZackPolanski, demonstrating just how readily criticism of Israel can be reframed as prejudice and political opposition delegitimised.
And we're seeing the consequences everywhere.
As Yasmin so powerfully describes, fear is doing the work of censorship.
People are frightened to protest. Journalists, commentators and even left-leaning media and podcasts appear increasingly reluctant to discuss Gaza, fearful of the accusations, backlash and professional consequences that might follow.
And this is precisely what makes it so dangerous. You don't need to silence everyone when you've created an environment in which people silence themselves.
But what really terrifies me is how this fear has become intertwined with something straight out of Orwell's 1984.
WAR IS PEACE. FREEDOM IS SLAVERY. IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.
Three chilling slogans emblazoned on the Ministry of Truth in Orwell's dystopian world.
The ultimate expression of DOUBLETHINK.
The ability to accept two completely contradictory beliefs as true, allowing those in power to manipulate reality, invert morality and make the unthinkable seem perfectly normal.
Sound familiar?
To oppose genocide is extremist. To excuse the slaughter of Palestinian civilians is moderation.
To demand accountability under international law is radical. To shield allies from that same law is responsible diplomacy.
To protest the killing of children is threatening. To continue arming those responsible is legitimate government policy.
To call out racism and collective punishment is antisemitism. To dismiss Palestinian suffering is political realism.
We've reached a point where the moral compass hasn't simply been lost. It's being deliberately turned upside down.
And the most frightening part is how quickly we're becoming accustomed to it.
Because when ordinary people begin to fear speaking out against atrocities, while those defending or enabling them occupy the respectable political centre, something has gone profoundly wrong with our democracy.
We cannot allow fear to become silence, silence to become acceptance, and acceptance to become complicity.
Because history will not judge us by how carefully we avoided controversy. It will judge us by what we were prepared to stand against.
Yasmin's article is well worth reading. Free-to-read version:

If they could, trees would be screaming this message—but instead they're showing us—unmistakably—how we're messing up the natural world.
This summer's intense and prolonged heat in the UK drove trees into dormancy, but in November, trees are showing us their spring flowers, six months early.
Kew Gardens and the Woodland Trust are very concerned how this will affect pollinators and the trees' health.
Kevin Martin, head of tree collections at Kew said:
"They won’t have those buds again in the spring."
He said the true impact of this won't be known until spring 2028.

📰 At last week’s Budget, the OBR put an end to the illusion that there is an economic case for more oil and gas.
❌ As @ProfBillMcGuire told @TheENDSReport, the tax receipts by 2030 are so low they couldn’t even keep the NHS running for a day. More drilling is bad for the climate, people and the economy.
