We are aware of a list circulating over the weekend suggesting significant cuts to various Met units and services, including reductions in TSG, Flying Squad, and Mounted units, among others. We want to clarify that this is not accurate. While we’ve been transparent about the challenges posed by the anticipated budget shortfall, we continue to work closely with the Home Office and City Hall to ensure we can police London effectively. We understand the concern such speculation can cause, and we’ll share details of any necessary savings with our officers and staff as soon as we’re able.
