💡Applications for Indiana’s Energy Assistance Program (EAP) are now open.
💡The EAP provides a one-time annual benefit to help cover heating and electricity costs.
💡Administered by the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, this statewide program offers valuable support for income-qualified households to keep their homes comfortable and connected throughout the winter.
💡Applications are handled locally through community action agencies across the state – organizations that work closely with residents to simplify the process and answer questions. To find your local agency, visit eap.ihcda.in.gov.

Duke Energy and @TownPlainfield are bringing The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall to Central #Indiana Sept. 18-21. This moving memorial - a 3/5 scale replica of the original memorial in Washington, D.C. - offers Hoosiers a place to remember, reflect and honor those whose names are etched into the memorial, without traveling to the nation's capital. The Charleston Pavillion at Hummel Park, located at 5373 S. C.R. 700 E. in Plainfield, will be the home of The Traveling Wall during its visit.

When our #Indiana customers needed us most, Duke Energy showed up. Whether it was through the amazing work of our teams in the field, or the emergency support provided by the Duke Energy Foundation, we collaborated with our Hoosier communities and tackled this month's major storms and flooding together.

Looking back at the major storm that hit Aug. 11, "investments we’ve been making in something called self-healing technology had a significant impact on reducing our outage numbers. This innovative technology – which quickly and remotely reroutes power to where it’s needed – prevented more than 8,800 interruptions to customers’ power, saving them about 17,000 hours of outage time." share.google/nnsSrSs0hQxnbce…

A new tool is aiming to help those in Indiana impacted by recent severe storms and flooding.
Indiana governor Mike Braun announced that, by texting IN211HELP to 898-211, users will be able to select the type of needed assistance. The service will then provide a list of disaster-specific resources based on the user's zip code. share.google/stSBBlKMtqwLDdR…

Flooding damaged a substation in Cambridge City, IN last week, knocking out power to the community. Our crews quickly restored service where they could and deployed a mobile substation to keep the town powered while permanent repairs are underway.

An update from Cambridge City on power restoration efforts there. Duke Energy quickly brought in technology to help replace our substation that became inoperable due to historic flooding.

Thanks to the long and hard work of our crews, we are down to approximately 1,700 customers without power in our Indiana service territory. Many of these customers are in Cambridge City, where we are bringing in a mobile substation to help get people reconnected. Our thoughts are with all Hoosiers affected by this week's storms and flooding.

Crews worked throughout the night and have restored power for more than 50,000 Indiana customers. Work continues today to restore the approximately 8,700 who are out of power as of this morning. We will monitor the weather closely to prepare to respond to any new outages.

Our crews are working quickly and safely to restore power to those affected by today's storms. Shelby County - damage to power lines shown in the below pics - was among the hardest hit. Please stay away from downed lines and report them to 800.228.8485.
