Throughout most of his life, Trump was a completely apolitical, silver-spoon playboy blowing through daddy’s money and partying. He was not interested in politics and rarely registered a political opinion. He ignored the press except for engaging in self-promotion.
When he gets back from his 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow he suddenly becomes very political and outspoken. He rails against whoever is in charge to the point that he changes his voter affiliation several times to get more coverage by being in the opposition. He starts talking about one day running for president.
In 2016, then House Speaker Kevin McCarthy told Paul Ryan and others, “There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump. Swear to God.” Former Rep. Dana Rohrabacher was known as a fervent defender of Putin and Russia.
Trump met with Putin in Helsinki and never mentioned what they talked about in private. No notes were ever released. The CIA reported an inordinate number of its spies being killed after he was elected.
He attempted to extort Ukraine into creating a scandal that would get him reelected in return for giving them needed aid. That bullshit earned him his first impeachment. He thinks Ukraine should be part of Russia, not an independent country. He's called Putin "highly respected, "genius" and “savvy” for declaring Ukraine’s Donbas region independent and using it as a pretext to send Russian forces in.
He wants to pull out of the NATO alliance.
He tried to get Putin to let him build a highrise in Moscow. He bought a Palm Beach property in 2004 for $41 million and sold it to Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev just four years later for $95 million. He revealed highly classified information to Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak and foreign minister Sergei Lavrov while they were IN THE OVAL OFFICE.
I could go on and on.
He’s been a compromised Russian asset for decades. It's plain as day. Denying it is willful ignorance.

Trump’s History of Lying About Voting
After the 2016 Election, in which Trump lost the popular vote, he claimed “millions of people… voted illegally.” He offered ABSOLUTELY ZERO EVIDENCE to support his claim. Out of 135 million votes in 2016, there were 4 proven cases of voter fraud: 3 were Trump supporters and 1 involved a mayoral race in Miami.
After Trump’s baseless claims in 2016, he used taxpayer money to form a Voter Fraud Commission with VP Mike Pence as chair. The Commission met just twice and never issued a report. A subsequent Freedom of Information Act lawsuit forced the Commission to turn over the materials they considered, and these documents revealed ZERO EVIDENCE of voter fraud in the 2016 Election.
Six months prior to the 2020 Election, Trump began to groom his followers with unproven rumors of voter fraud. He told reporters, “Mail-in ballots are… dangerous… They’re fraudulent in many cases…” Three months later, when it was clear he was behind in the polls, Trump said, “mail-in voting is going to rig the election.” Again, he provided ABSOLUTELY ZERO EVIDENCE. Mail-in ballots have been a staple of US Elections since WWII. In 2016, 1 in 4 ballots were cast via mail, 5 states conducted all their voting through mail, no excuse mail-in voting was allowed in 29 states, and every other state allowed it based on a valid excuse. Only 0.00006% of mail-in ballots throughout history have been proven fraudulent. Fraud via mail-in voting is less common a phenomenon than being struck by lightning.
On election night 2020, well before all the votes were finished being counted, Trump claimed he “WON.” His campaign manager and other top WH aides testified under oath that hey told Trump HE HAD NOT WON. Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s private attorney, was the only person present who advised Trump to claim victory. According to the sworn testimony of senior WH advisor Jason Miller, Giuliani was drunk. Giuliani has since been found liable for $148 million for his public lies about voting in the 2020 Election.
Several days later, when the major network and cable news channels, including Fox News, called the 2020 Election for Joe Biden, Trump tweeted “I WON THIS ELECTION BY A LOT.” Again, he provided ABSOLUTELY ZERO EVIDENCE.
Leading up to the riot at the US Capitol on January 6th, Trump continued to claim he “WON,” regardless of the official count, all recounts, all audits, the determination of the actual legal electors – both Republican and Democrat – and 62 COURT DECISIONS, upholding Biden's victory.
Since the 2020 Election, the American public has learned that TEAM TRUMP ENGAGED IN A MULTIPRONGED ASSUALT ON US DEMOCRACY. They pressured state officials to “find” votes; they pressured the DOJ to “just say the election was corrupt,” they filed fraudulent elector documents in 7 states; and they even considered using the US military to seize state voting machines. Seventeen of Trump’s private lawyers have been court sanctioned for their public lies. Three Trump lawyers have pled guilty to participating in Trump’s conspiracy to subvert democracy. Every election expert in the Trump WH, including his own handpicked Republican Attorney General Bill Barr, have testified under oath that they repeatedly told Trump there was no fraud. Regardless, Trump continues to claim that he won the 2020 Election DESPITE ALL THE RELEVANT EVIDENCE.
On New Year’s Eve 2024, Trump began laying the groundwork for the LIE that the 2024 Election will be rigged. Again, he provided ABSOLUTELY ZERO EVIDENCE. Via his social media platform, he suggested that the Biden Administration is allowing immigrants to enter the US to vote. It is against the law for non-citizens to vote in all Federal Elections, as well as all statewide elections. According to Conservative based think tank, the Heritage Foundation, there are only 53 proven cases of non-citizens voting in Federal Elections in our Nation’s 250-year history.

The Colorado Supreme Court's ruling was a civil matter, not a criminal conviction. Their job was to weigh the evidence and determine if it was more likely than not that Trump engaged in an insurrection and/or rebellion that would disqualify him from the ballot under Colorado law.
