Boy Georgeโs visit to Israel is extraordinary and deeply heartwarming. It means a great deal to Israelis, especially at a time when antisemitism is surging across Europe.
Letโs remember: WE were the ones attacked by Hamas on October 7. 1,200 Israelis: babies, children, women and men, were murdered, and 251 people were abducted, tortured and held hostage in Gaza.
The hypocrisy of Europeโs radical left is deeply disturbing, bringing back memories of the darkest days of the late 1930s, when Jews were persecuted simply for being Jewish.
Western governments are turning their backs on Israel and condemning us, even as Israel and the United States confront the brutal Iranian regime and help protect their security. Yet those same countries continue to seek Israeli gas, technology and innovation.
Against this backdrop, Boy Georgeโs visit stands out. A true friend of Israel who has faced criticism and even lost friendships because he refused to abandon his principles.
His message is clear: โI am a true friend of Israel and the Jewish people.
The world still has friends who stand by us when it matters.
