From the latest scouting report on Mets No. 2 prospect Mitch Voit ⤵️
Voit’s system-best 27% line-drive rate, sub-20% strikeout rate and well-balanced batting profile spell out his offensive upside. He projects to be a top-of-the-order, on-base-oriented middle infielder, most likely at second base.
Voit could be ready for a big league look later in the 2027 season if he continues producing in the minor leagues.

Positive #Mets fans, this is a good hire. 11 year playing career as a catcher, and 8 years experience in baseball operations. He has experience in player development, and collaborating with coaching staffs. 2nd MLB coaching hire with playing, and coaching experience. #LGM
The New York Mets are hiring A.J. Ellis to their major-league coaching staff as strategy coordinator, league sources told The Athletic. Ellis, the former catcher, adds more major-league playing experience to the staff in a significant way. nytimes.com/athletic/7753333…

Two more notes on A.J. Ellis:
- Ellis played for Andy Green when he was managing the Padres in 2018. That turned out to be Ellis' final MLB season as a player. Since then, he's worked in San Diego's front office as a special assistant
- Ellis was Clayton Kershaw's catcher in 118 games. In those 829 innings with Ellis, Kershaw had a 1.97 ERA. No other backstop worked with Kershaw for more than 509 innings in his career.
Congratulations! 💪💪 #LGM
Heard Ron Darling say on The #Mets Pod with @PSLToFlushing that He is a big fan of Jonah Tong, saying he ‘likes everything about him’ I’ll take his opinion on him over some of the critique I see on here. Ron knows ball 💪

Positive #Mets fans, I really like this hire. Former player, 2 time Champion, and has coached in Binghampton for 5 years, so he is familiar with our young players, and prospects coming up. Solid hire

The Mets are adding Mariano Duncan to their major league coaching staff sny.tv/articles/mets-add-mar…
This is why I always start my posts with
Positive #Mets fans, because you have doomer fans feeding into media hit pieces trying to slander the organization with an unamed “league source” 😂
#LGM
"The problem the Mets face is that candidates are more interviewing them than the other way around," a league source told FanSided. "The industry feels like going to the Mets can set your career back."
