The tech Twitter/X echo chamber needs to be studied. I may just be old, but a lot of the tech "news" here is solely for engagement farming vs actual informative information. It's becoming more and more unbearable to be on this app. Again, I know I'm an old head, but I miss the old days.

Just received confirmation from Samsung - S26 Ultra has an 8 bit display, not a 10 bit display as we were originally told.
That means it can only display 16 million colours instead of 1 billion, and just uses tech designed to "simulate 10 bit".
Not a problem that's easy to notice when you're using it, but nonetheless this does put Samsung's display behind most current flagship phones for colour reproduction

The Video that reveals all the shady jobs Android Manufacturers are doing disclosed regarding gaming Performance by Geekerwan has been taken down.
It must be an Android Manufacturer to do this job......
Why is everyone silent about this?
According to Geekerwan's test, early Chinese Android review units failed performance consistency checks.
If review devices are specially selected or tuned, then customers who pay full retail price may not receive the same
performance shown in reviews. That's not a minor issue. That's trust.
Meanwhile, iPhone early units matched retail performance and retail units even improved later through optimization.
Samsung wasn't included in that specific test, likely due to lower market share in China.
This isn't Android vs iPhone. It's about one simple principle:
If customers pay retail price, they deserve the exact same performance shown on reviewers' channels. Anything less? That's misleading.
Reviewers gain exposure and money
Companies gain sales. And the only one paying for both…is the customer who may end up with a lower-quality unit.
