New pinned because I deleted the old one... again:
I like games, but I'm extremely pessimistic about new games. Make of that whatever you will.

The prophecy!

Hi Sandy. Are you well? This is wrong. On January 1, 1993, we sent a press release saying that multiplayer would be in DOOM, a full 8 months before you joined the company. We knew deathmatch would be huge. In that press release, in January 1993, we said multiplayer would be "the number one cause of decreased productivity in businesses around the world." We were sure of it, and we needed no convincing. I understand you are proud of your work on DOOM, and you should be, but please also respect the accuracy of your statements, particularly around game history. My concern is that these false statements are designed to trigger replies (like this one), reposts, and outrage discussion, all with the view of increasing your followers and subscriptions, particularly since this false deathmatch story (among others) is so easily disproved. I’ve even welcomed you to reach out to me ahead of time. You seem to appreciate game history as much as I do. Could you not also make yours accurate?
Ben: "Congratulations. You're officially a nerd"
Johnny: "I'm gonna need you to do me a favor and break my neck please"
bunch of very middle aged people in led light vomit ugly studio talking about absolutely nothing and looking bored and miserable
who honestly watches this regularly?
The H3 crew definitely had their suspicions, and I can only imagine their frustration. Hila had already left for Israel, and Tamara was no longer around. Those final two episodes feel like the uneasy calm before the storm.

I see indie animation discourse has reached the 90s comic discussions about creators not being good writers and only focus on art.

No, Archie comics is what the rules where design around. Superheroes didn't truly dominate the market until it went into comic stores where it could avoid the comic code

Also the Yuuzhan Vong were fucking dumb and antithetical to the whole style and aesthetic of Star Wars. Some of the stories were probably cool but biotech doesn’t really have a place in Star Wars.
It's a good thing that never happened

Rewriting the intent of the Empire’s super weapons to be for some greater good instead of fascist oppression machines is literally the antithesis of everything Lucas wrote from a thematic point of view
Yeah, except that last part about the Empire knowing is bullshit

Still hated the fucking intergalactic invaders and how “erm ackshually the empire knew the entire time” bullshit that came with it. Understood how George labeled it not canon

>Because Yuuzhan Vong was worse than the Empire, just pure destruction... they couldn’t be negotiated with or reasoned... it was either convert or die.
Except they absolutely could, the War ended in peace with the Vong repentant, using their efforts to heal the worlds they burned
Yeah, it honestly could've been a great gateway to a new set of threats, plus show that the Star Wars galaxy as known is just a small speck in a cosmic ocean of unknowns... that there is so much out there that might be out to kill you. So best be prepared
Because Yuuzhan Vong was worse than the Empire, just pure destruction... they couldn’t be negotiated with or reasoned... it was either convert or die.
