October 7 was one of the driving forces behind voter turnout in Israel’s election, says former IDF Intelligence Officer and Middle East 24 Editor-in-Chief Major Dan Feferman on The Dailies with Catalina Marchant de Abreu.

Having now examined the Daily Groyper's evolving coverage of Israel, Turkey, and Qatar, the inverse trend becomes strikingly clear:
🔸️Share of articles critical of Qatar's government: 22.9%, then 11.9%, then 0%.
🔸️Share of articles critical of Turkey's government: 11.2%, then 2.6%, then 0%.
🔸️Share of articles critical of Israel: 0.8%, then 2.3%, then 14.5%.
As the Iran war began, criticism of Qatar and Turkey disappeared. Criticism of Israel went up nearly twentyfold.
If you see this and chalk it up to an innocent coincidence, I don't know what to tell you.

It is a lie that Palestinians did not exist in 1948.
One of the earliest references to Palestinians as a distinct people dates back to 1798, when German philosopher Immanuel Kant mentioned “Palestinians living among us” in his book Anthropology from a Pragmatic Point of View.
He was, of course, referring to Ashkenazi Jews living in Europe. Palestine was always a geographical term, but on the rare occasions when it was used to refer to a people, it referred to Jews.
The Palestinian Arab identity, however, is much more recent and was indeed only invented in the 1960s. Until then, Arabs were never seen as native, and fiercely rejected and even took offense at being called Palestinian, as the term was strongly associated with Jews and the Zionist movement.
The Palestinian Arab identity was created specifically as a counter-identity to Israel and to present Arabs as an ancient and indigenous people of the region. Had Israel never been established, not a single Arab would identify as Palestinian today.
So yes, Palestinians did exist before 1948. They just were Jews.

Israel needs to stop attacks by Jews against Palestinian civilians in Judea and Samaria for moral, national, and legal reasons.
Period.
But we should have no illusions that even major, successful law enforcement operations will significantly impact the hostile discourse surrounding Israel, for 3 reasons:
1. Documenting "settler violence" has already become an industry, with well-funded NGOs, professional Palestinian activists, European diplomats, UN bureaucrats, and "journalist" accomplices committed to producing a steady stream of reports about violence against "Palestinian olive harvesters" and the like.
@bradlander, and future Brad Landers, will need to instigate clashes with "violent settlers" for electoral purposes. UN bureaucrats need to justify their salaries. Left-wing NGOs need to raise money.
Even if Israel were to arrest tomorrow the several hundred hardcore Jewish perpetrators of attacks against Palestinian civilians - and I believe Israel should - this NGO/left-wing industry would continue to generate provocations and do whatever is necessary to ensure a steady stream of incidents for it to “document”.
2. Israel's supporters-turned-critics on the left need something to criticize in order to signal to their peers that they are not unequivocal supporters of Israel. If it's not "settler violence," it will be "settlement expansion," "movement restrictions," "disproportionate force," or something else, in order to demonstrate that they support Israel’s “right to exist” but…
3. In many cases, the debate over Israel has to do with political struggles and evolving trends in the U.S. that are not downstream of any particular Israeli action. Rather, they reflect the role that the idea of Israel plays in political, denominational, intergenerational, media, and other power struggles taking place in the U.S. These dynamics will not change as a result of any particular Israeli initiative (or change in government, for that matter).
Again, Israel must do a far better job of ensuring law and order, and protecting all civilians, in Judea and Samaria, for its own sake. Doing so is also important for maintaining the support of some of Israel's most consequential friends in the U.S.
But those who argue that Israeli actions on this front, whether by the current or a future government, will have a major impact on the anti-Israel discourse in the U.S. are, unfortunately, mistaken.

While the cry of Islamophobia rings round Parliament & the country, but the very real menace of antisemitism is obvious. A PewCenter poll in 2010 found anti-Jew ✡️ hate was found to be intrinsic to between 95%-98% of Middle East Muslims, Pakistan 🇵🇰 was 78%.
Sir David Bell's report says 1 in 5 of all students witnessed antisemitism, while 3 in 5 Jewish students had in Britain 🇬🇧.
Jews do not expect the authorities to do much.
Islamophobia is not the real problem.

You can't explain Gaza without them. Hamas signed a ceasefire, agreed to disarm, and refused. That's why the strikes continue.
