My Therapist 2 Therapist/researcher/rehaber tweets were annoying and sometimes confusing my other population. Need to split personality..

@neuromanter hi Wouter. Looking for two old blog posts of yours. One is explaining pain/wear and tear in terms of old trainers. The other is about a tooth ache that flared up when you were stressed. Any idea what I'm talking about and where they are?

Interesting ruling re: Jordan Peterson. He can use social media as a professional or as a person, but he can't do both..he has to undergo social media training to learn to be more professional... while I may agree with some parts of this, it also erodes a right to a private life.

I love this tweet stream. When a tendon expert asks for advice about tendons, you know it’s okay to ask for advice to improved your knowledge.. embrace what you don’t know to find out what you need to know..

Was thinking along the same line here as @Bill_Vicenzino , patients post ankle or ST fusion often use such shoes to allow an easier transition to toe off and might worth a try Pete

I find this sad, but interesting. How much of this is due to care, or possibly education, expectations or diet and exercise?
A baby born in Gateshead in 2019 can potentially die 15 years earlier than a baby born in Guildford. That's the extent of health inequality in the UK. The gap in life expectancy between the richest and poorest continues to grow yet our government wishes to scrap a report on it.

Following the @Dr_OliverT_PhD facebook travesty..as an ex osteopath I find it barmy that a profession that can produce @drdavidevans, @UCODVC_Research and the late @StephenTyreman can also produce people that feel so threatened by discourse and remain stuck in the past..

2/3 There’s loads of others I could have added to these examples, but I know these three and some of their published work. All of them have stopped and looked back at osteopathy and questioned it and I the beliefs contained.. As questioning, reflective therapists we do this with

3/3 our treatments, otherwise we’d be condition prescriptive practitioners, and not treat the individual.. why can’t or don’t we look at our (as an ex osteopath) profession or methodology through the same lense?

So... The largest Facebook group for osteopaths is run by a non #osteopath which is now booting out osteopaths who try and start a discussion about the limitations of osteopathic treatment.. Dangerous precedent

I’ve learnt to not argue when someone is wrong on twitter, but how do you cope when someone is doing it wrong at the gym? I mean, they are right there…in front of you…IRL…

This is really interesting on the BPS model of ME/CFS treatment. I wonder how much also applies to the BPS model in MSK treatment and pain science? @DerekGriffin86 @CorKinetic
[Thread] Dr Alastair Miller recently made the attached claim. The results of English #MECFS rehab clinics show recovery was rare & on average people worked less after attending the services bmchealthservres.biomedcentr… See here s4me.info/threads/dr-alastai… or this thread #MyalgicE 1/n

In Glasgow its thought that 20% (1 in 5) have trouble with literacy and numeracy...how does a leaflet address this? Is consent really informed? (Any spelling mistakes are a test)
Met three patients in work on Friday who cannot read. I happened to ask before I handed them a leaflet. Should probably be part of common practice to ask?... wonder how many people I have inadvertently caused some discomfort to.. food for thought - solutions?

Looks to be quite an interesting one from an osteopathic point of view where there seem to be venerated forefathers whose words/texts appear to corral some in a comfort zone and get others angry about being held back...I’ll have to listen to the rest..
