Well… I made quite some progress on this 😅
First footage of a Sandbox Game Maker experience migrated into @TheSandboxGame Studio and running at 60 FPS 👀
Interactions, shaders, water, lighting, particles, VFX, SFX, inventory UI and more are already coming across.
Still WIP, but around 50% feature parity now.
Just imagine being able to revive your old Game Maker experiences and then keep building on them with @threejs + AI.
That’s the goal ❤️
I've been working on various @threejs projects for different platforms since almost a year ago. And so far @TheSandboxGame is the one that got me hooked with the Studio (coming soon!). A Unity/Unreal-like gamedev experience while also utilizing the power of AI (for vibers like me). It's the one-tool-to-rule-them-all for instant playable games. And I'm going to make quite some fun stuff for it! 😇💙
Having said that, they used to have a Metaverse-like Game Maker experience tooling that allowed people to create their own "metaverse"/web3/crypto/NFT gaming experiences, with no option (yet) to port/migrate those over...
Soooo..... I'm currently trying to built this converter so people can 'easily' port over those experiences to the new Studio! WORK IN PROGRESS. 🙌
If anyone has some experiences they could/would share with me to keep building this new "migration service", pls DM!
