The need to show off material assets comes from a place of insecurity. When your brain believes your status is low in your social circle, it starts collecting material proof in a desperate attempt to change that. Don’t go looking for more things to make yourself look like someone with status; fix your deeper insecurities to become someone who doesn’t need any proof.

I am following with concern the grave humanitarian situation in Yemen, particularly in the city of Taiz, where the population is suffering from a lack of food, water and medical care. I make a heartfelt appeal for hostilities to cease and for the Yemeni people and all the peoples of the region to be guaranteed the right to live in peace.

The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

Sometimes God will put things in your spirit that don’t make sense. Here’s the key: God doesn’t ask us to figure it out. He doesn’t ask us to come up with a plan, research it, see if it’s possible. He simply asks us to believe.

A wicked person may try to destroy what you have through jealousy and envy. But trust the Giver of your purpose. He will protect what He gave you. 🙏✨

“Everybody wants to save the Earth; nobody wants to help Mom do the dishes.”
- P.J. O'Rourke
This quote points to a familiar contradiction in human behavior: people are often drawn to large, heroic causes while overlooking the smaller responsibilities directly around them. Grand missions, such as saving the planet, can feel inspiring and meaningful because they are ambitious, visible, and widely praised.
Yet character and compassion are often revealed through the ordinary tasks of everyday life. Washing the dishes or helping someone at home may receive little recognition, but these simple actions require genuine effort and consideration. The quote humorously suggests that changing the world begins with taking responsibility for the small things and helping those closest to us.

Today, we honor Marcus Garvey—a Jamaican-born Pan-African leader and founder of the Universal Negro Improvement Association—who championed Black pride, economic independence, and collective power.
Born on this day in 1887, his call for self-determination remains as urgent today as it was in his time. The responsibility to build, protect, and strengthen our communities continues.
Rest in power, King.
