Trump and MAGA spent years targeting Somali Americans with some of the ugliest racism, Islamophobia, and xenophobia imaginable. They were vilified, told to “go back” to where they came from, and portrayed as threats to the very country they call home.
And how did America respond?
By electing and re-electing Somali Americans to public office.
By reminding us that the children of refugees and immigrants are not outsiders. They are part of the American story.
These victories are more than electoral successes. They are a powerful testament to the resilience of a community that refused to be intimidated, silenced, or excluded.
You can question their belonging. You can attack their identity. But you cannot extinguish their determination to participate, serve, and lead.

All I'm saying is I've never once had a Jewish person or Muslim person approach me in public to recruit me into their religion or want to talk to me about god and hell. They never have knocked on my door either lmao. I just find that super interesting. As someone who was raised Christian, I love and respect a lot of Christian people but at the end of the day they are the ones constantly getting in peoples faces. Practice whatever faith you want but as soon as you start forcing your beliefs on others is where you lose me. People will be minding their business and Christians are just mad as fuck.
