мужики, сплотимся! чем мы хуже тунца?
THE UNITED NATIONS HAS A SERIOUS SEXISM PROBLEM. IT HAS BECOME BIGOTED AND HAS LOST ALL MORAL CREDIBILITY.
In 1945, the United Nations Charter reaffirmed faith in the “equal rights of men and women.”
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights subsequently proclaimed that “all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.”
Eighty-one years later, what happened to that noble commitment?
Research published by Dr James Nuzzo in March 2026 exposes an extraordinary double standard:
♀️ 15 UN-recognised international days dedicated to women and girls.
♂️ ZERO dedicated to men and boys.
Not even International Men's Day, first celebrated in 1999 and marked last year in more than 110 countries...
The UN recognises days for bees, tuna, snow leopards, asteroids and basketball. Yet it cannot formally recognise a single day celebrating half of humanity!!
This isn't an isolated oversight. It reflects a wider institutional culture in which gender equality too often means advocating for females while overlooking the suffering, disadvantages and contributions of males.
Consider the global evidence:
🔹 Men die approximately FIVE YEARS younger than women. While in seven countries, men die over TEN YEARS sooner.
🔹 Around 80% of homicide victims are male.
🔹 Men account for the overwhelming majority of workplace fatalities.
🔹 Male suicide rates are two, three, and sometimes four times those of females.
🔹 UNESCO estimates 140 million boys are out of school.
🔹 Men constitute approximately 93% of the world's prison population.
🔹 Fathers face serious barriers to equal participation in their children's lives.
Where is the comparable international urgency, compassion and institutional commitment?
Why does disadvantage become a gender equality emergency when it affects females, but so often a matter of individual responsibility when it affects males?
The UN has undoubtedly made important contributions to women's rights, humanitarian protection and international development. Those achievements deserve recognition.
But they do not excuse ideological selectivity, institutional double standards or the marginalisation of men and boys.
An organisation claiming to represent all humanity must not become an activist institution advancing one sex's interests while treating the other as a worthless afterthought.
This isn't neutrality. It isn't impartiality. And it's certainly not Genuine Gender Equality.
As Chair of the International Council for Men and Boys, I am proud that our upcoming Global State of Men and Boys Report 2026 examines 12 major disparities affecting males, drawing on evidence from more than 50 countries.
Our approach is straightforward: recognise disadvantage wherever it exists, respect the dignity of every human being, and pursue evidence-based solutions for everyone...
We are also working constructively toward UN recognition of International Men's Day.
The UN should reform its gender institutions, abandon ideological one-sidedness, and restore public confidence through equal compassion, accountability and respect for both sexes.
Supporting men and boys doesn't diminish women and girls, in fact it strengthens families and communities.
Human rights are not a zero-sum game.
The Future is Everyone.

It's like trying to grow in a desert versus growing in a rain forest- the environment has been made as harsh as possible for male creators, leaving their books absent from shelves and libraries while books that heavily embrace propaganda are carefully nourished

1/2. In today's data brief at The Nuzzo Letter, I present results of a secondary analysis of Doug Rohrer's 2025 study on men's and women's accuracy in estimating athletic performances in elite male and female athletes. Rohrer asked 300 adults in the U.S. the following question pertaining to four athletic events (1,500-m run, 100-m sprint, long jump, 800-m swim): “The world record for professional women is closest to the world record for males of what age?”
The correct answer for all four events was a male age of 14 years old. Below, I show the percentage of men and women study participants who guessed particular male ages for the 100-m sprint. A greater percentage of men than women tended to guess closer to the true answer (age 14).

It's pleasing to see that the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) has established a Specific Interests group to focus on Men's Health, to coincide with Men's Health Week earlier this year. This new group is being chaired by Dr Alex Romain. The RACGP has several long-standing Specific Interests groups that seek to meet some of the needs of Women's Health. This new group is the first that specifically addresses Men's Health.
This is an important and overdue step towards addressing Australia's very substantial male health disparities.
Australian men die approximately four years younger than women, experience 1.6 times the fatal burden of disease, and account for tens of thousands of potentially preventable premature deaths annually...
Encouragingly, Dr Romain challenges the assumption that these inequalities are inevitable or that they simply reflect male self-neglect. The British-born GP can see great potential for system-wide improvements, from infrastructure to consultation style, on "how to make and design male-friendly services", and he believes much of it can be driven by general practice:
"We’re just starting from scratch, really, and we would like to integrate evidence that has been floating around the system for some time... It’s been growing over the last 25 years, but it’s time for the evidence to start informing how we work with men and how we function as GPs".
The Men's Health group aims to improve male-friendly healthcare, GP education, preventive care, research and policy.
Congratulations to the @RACGP, Dr Alex Romain and Deputy Chair Dr Greg Malcher for this welcome initiative.
Importantly, let's hope that it eventually translates into measurable improvements in the health and longevity of Australian men and boys...

Spot on, David. In 1945 the UN promised "equal rights of men and women". So where are the men and boys???
Why a UN for Women and not for Men? We need a UN for Men & Boys, for the dads, sons, brothers, uncles and friends being left behind.
Let's work on this TOGETHER. I'll drop you a DM.

WAY OF THE WARRIOR KID: BOOKS THAT EVERY BOY SHOULD DISCOVER...
If you're looking for books that inspire boys to become stronger, braver, more disciplined, more confident and better human beings, I cannot recommend Jocko Willink's Way of the Warrior Kid series highly enough.
Written by a former US Navy SEAL commander, these books are among the best examples of positive, empowering literature for boys.
🎯 Who are they for?
Ideally suited to children aged 7–12, particularly boys aged 8–11. They're excellent for independent readers, reluctant readers, and parents reading aloud with younger children.
They're especially valuable for boys who struggle with confidence, bullying, fitness, schoolwork, friendships, motivation or finding their place in the world. Girls can benefit enormously from them too.
📖 What's inside?
We follow Marc, an ordinary boy who struggles with challenges many children recognise. With guidance from his Navy SEAL uncle, Jake, he discovers what it means to become a Warrior Kid.
Across the series, Marc learns about:
💪 Physical fitness, strength and healthy habits
🧠 Self-discipline, resilience and mental toughness
📚 Reading, learning and working hard at school
🥋 Martial arts, self-defence and handling bullies
🤝 Friendship, kindness, humility and respect
🎯 Setting goals, taking responsibility and overcoming setbacks
❤️ Courage, character and doing the right thing
Why are these books so awesome?
Because they don't tell boys they're defective, dangerous or problematic. They tell boys they have enormous potential, and show them how to realise it...
They celebrate strength without aggression, confidence without arrogance, and toughness alongside kindness.
Most importantly, they teach that discipline equals freedom. You don't have to be naturally gifted, popular or athletic. Through effort, practice, courage and persistence, you can improve.
Marc isn't a superhero. He's an ordinary kid who becomes extraordinary by taking responsibility for his own development.
That's a message that every child deserves to hear...
This is an outstanding series for boys, parents, teachers and school libraries.
If you have a boy in your life, buy him these books. Better still, read them together, discuss the lessons, and put them into practice...
We need more books that inspire boys to become the best versions of themselves.
