The NYT published an opinion column accusing Israel of systematic sexual abuse the night before a major report documenting Hamas’ October 7 sexual atrocities was released. Not an investigation, but an opinion piece built heavily on claims from Euro-Med Monitor, whose leadership has documented ties to Hamas networks. If abuse is happening, it should be investigated seriously. But regurgitating absurd claims such as that “Israel trained dogs to rape Palestinians” does not help victims of sexual violence. It makes a mockery of them. Shame on the New York Times.

The people who did the most different types of exercise had 19% lower all-cause mortality than those who did the fewest types. Not more exercise. More kinds. Respiratory mortality dropped 41%. Cardiovascular: 36%. Cancer: 13%. 111,467 people. 34 years of follow-up. 38,847 deaths. And the critical part is that this held up after controlling for total exercise volume. Someone doing 4 activities for 5 hours/week outlived someone doing 1 activity for 5 hours/week. Most people optimize for volume. Run more miles. Lift heavier. Add another set. This 30-year Harvard dataset says the variable almost nobody tracks, variety, independently predicts whether you're alive in your 70s. Your body doesn't want a specialist. It wants a generalist.

No tenemos tiempo.
