It’s awesome to see Vocial posts in the wild! And yep, there’s a feature that lets you easily export your posts as shareable videos. Captions included! Thank you @DeanAbbott !
Take it from me, someday you'll go to Thanksgiving dinner and there will be no kids' table, and you will hate every minute of it.
In a completely unpredictable turn of events, we have an episode whose premise is the Lucy wants to be in the show.
We live in a weird time when so many people are longing for a decent connection to family and community, a decent, steady income, a stable place to live.
All things previous generations took for granted.
Our culture these days is engineered to push people to override their intuition.
The real coming conflict will be between those who can sense and trust their intuitions and those who don't.

Something about materialism/consumerism has distracted us from life largely being about finding our people.

I actually also sometimes think this..
Like what it would be like to go to sleep knowing you know everyone in your town?
Wouldn’t it be nice to know you knew everyone in a given radius by name?

I loved watching Nick at Nigjt as a kid - we didn’t have cable at home so it was a treat. Bewitched was my favorite but I Love Lucy was probably what I watched the most. Mork and Mindy was also cute but not as vintage.
Sometimes, I think about how great it must have felt to go to bed in a traditional little village somewhere knowing you knew everyone and that, even in the night, you weren't really alone.
I've committed to watching the whole series of "I Love Lucy."
It's crazy. The plots so absurd and ridiculous.
But it's so good-spirited and hilarious.
Watching it, you can really see how much darkness is present in popular culture now.
Just a reminder that two years ago, Juan Soto got the biggest contract in the history of sports and has done nothing since then.
Mets didn't even make the play offs.
I've watched the first two games of the World Series from beginning to end. I have not done this in a long time and it is like being in a baseball time machine. The teams playing, Milwaukee and Tampa Bay play what is called "small ball" which is to say don't rely on home runs to win games. This year the Astros hit 226 dingers. Tampa was 22nd with 169 homers and the Brewers hit 154 and ranked 29 of 30 teams.
I don't know any of the players or who the coaches are. No big stars. No one with a $500 million contract. No nonsense. Get on base. Advance the runner. Steal a base now and then. Take chances. The two games so far have been tense and both were one-run victories by Milwaukee. In the 2026 season, Tampa Bay led MLB in one-run victories with a 25-14 record. The Brewers at .636 had the best record in MLB.
Baseball teams ranked by salaries show how much richer players are in the biggest cities. The NY Mets pay $346 million and the Dodgers $339 M this year. The Brewers are ranked 19 of 30 and pay $200 M less than the Mets and the Tampa Bay Rays team is ranked 28th at $95 M. Cleveland, which almost made it to the Series, has the lowest team salary in Major League Baseball at $74M.
So we have a Series this year that is not based on names you recognize from cities that have never wond a World Series. Enjoy it and hope it goes seven games.
I am becoming more and more certain that the end point of dogged commitment to any political cause is stupidity.
You can say there's nothing to astrology, but when Geese Goose Girl was here, she asked for my birth date and time and sent me a detailed 10 page document describing my personality thoroughly even though she'd never met me, so...
Just did this and got Mercury which is appropriate because I am as Gemini as they come.
The medieval poets did not believe that the heavens fatalistically determined our future, but they did believe they each had a character that influenced the spiritual climate.
