I had terrible sickness last night. Its been awhile, almost sepsis. Its hard in those moments to contemplate fighting to the end. Its too much. Kathy was in tears, we know what it means. Its all over my body, not one pain. So I got up this morning after the storm and realize, I have to reset my expectations, be ready for worse to come and to try and fight back still. I need to work my lungs if possible and regain some strength. Walking and falling has become a big issue. We lost Kathy's dad a couple months ago after he fell and hit his head. My doctor worries about that too. I have 30 or 40 concussions so the chemo fog and illness plays right into that. I will keep going and trying. We dont kid ourselves that this is going to be easy so we love and hold each other in the storms and live life to maximum every chance we get. I have the right partner and companion and love to make it to the end with grace and humility. I am not the first and wont be the last to die. I have a woman I love to hold hands with. Thats all I ever wanted!

Asking for advice on investing into an EV bike for short shopping trips, increased independence, and doggy accessible. 🤔 I stopped driving for your safety two years ago, and rely on Kathy to take me everywhere. Its hard to walk the dogs sometimes too with cancer hitting lungs and wrestling a prior PE and COPD. I don't know if this is a good one or worth the money. It would be a bargain if it solves all those issues for me. Do you have other brands or suggestions for me to consider? AI seems to like this one! 🚲ca.meetonetrike.com/products…

June 5th, 2025... "You have cancer" He said... "I was in my early forties With a lot of life before me When a moment came that stopped me on a dime I spent most of the next days Looking at the x-rays And talkin' 'bout the options And talkin' 'bout sweet time" I asked him "When it sank in That this might really be the real end How's it hit you When you get that kind of news? Man, what'd you do?" And he said... "I went skydiving I went Rocky Mountain climbing I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named Fumanchu And I loved deeper And I spoke sweeter And I gave forgiveness I'd been denying" And he said "Someday I hope you get the chance To live like you were dying"

Awesome to hear! I want people to know im real so they can trust me and feel safe to talk. I've been alone and scared sometimes too. If I lie to you, im lying to myself and I wont ever figure life out. Being honest and humble is a work in progress still, but I believe its how you win in life! Kathy completes me. The missing piece of the puzzle!~ 🧩

Dude... I see your posts. And can say following with no hesitation: You are a cool guy, a fucking Legend!!, a warrior, and same for your wife..you guys are real legends!! So many fake Humans on this platform, and in general, oblivious to realilty of others, forcing meaningless games instead of fighting for what really matters, fighting for each other.

CAN A SMALL SENSOR ON YOUR ARM HELP TRANSFORM THE MANAGEMENT OF TYPE 2 DIABETES EVEN IF YOU DON'T TAKE INSULIN? For decades, millions of patients with type 2 diabetes have relied on occasional fingerstick glucose measurements and hemoglobin A1c testing to evaluate their disease. But what happens between those measurements? What happens to blood sugar after breakfast? During exercise? Overnight? During periods of stress? Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is helping answer those questions! A continuous glucose monitor uses a small sensor placed beneath the skin to measure glucose concentrations in interstitial fluid. Depending on the device, readings are updated approximately every one to five minutes. Instead of seeing isolated glucose measurements, patients and clinicians can observe patterns throughout the day and night. Hemoglobin A1c provides an estimate of average glucose exposure over approximately three months. However, it does not reveal the full picture. Two patients with identical A1c values may have very different glucose fluctuations, periods of hyperglycemia, and episodes of hypoglycemia. CGM adds important information: • Time in range (TIR). • Time above range. • Time below range. • Glucose variability. • Overnight glucose patterns. • Responses to food, physical activity, and medications. For many nonpregnant adults with diabetes, a commonly used CGM target is spending

When I exert on the dance floor I have a girlfriend who will step up to me take my arms in a waltz (she leading) and calm me slowly with one two steps even when the music is raunchy. Quite lovely. For me it’s the stiffness but rhythm tends to soothe in the moments between the notes. Even just once a week is enough.

Every day is surreal. Every day is like being in a dream you can't escape. Every day I ask myself, is this really my life now? I have no energy, but I also know if I let that stop me, I die sooner. So, despite being quite sedentary for a good portion of the day, I force myself to go do this or that throughout the day despite how tired I really am. Kids to school, soccer games, errands, trips to the store. Whatever, just ... Move. My muscle is gone. I'm keeping my weight up which is good, but I need to figure out a way to build back more muscle as the cancer has stolen all of it now. I'm technically still slightly overweight, so combination of skin and bones and fat belly/torso. The feeding tube, chemo port and surgical scars don't help that look either. I won't say what I look like, but you can probably guess. Then there's eating. A constant reminder of just how messed up my body is. It's painful & I'm always just one bite away from vomiting if I don't do the chewing right or water chase right. It's also extremely time consuming and I have to flood myself with water to push the food I've turned into paste in my mouth past the tumor. Typically 40oz or more per meal, which are all mini meals many times a day as I literally can't stomach regular sized meals, so eating has to be fairly constant throughout the day to ensure I get enough calories & protein. Then there's my left arm, which for some stupid reason I've had trouble with for at least a couple months now due to vastly limited range of motion (reaching back behind me to my left, excruciating pain). No idea why...just is. And of course there is the day to day off feelings throughout my torso. Sometimes nausea, sometimes pains in belly / intestines. Always the feeling of something stuck in my throat, cause there is. Can't even burp normally or I vomit but the tiny burps I can do, I must do to clear things out pass the tumor. Then there's the runny nose. Always runny. Apparently that's a strong symptom of my type of cancer. Nostrils are raw from constant tissue use. Sleeping is mostly okay as I do sleep well for the most part, but it is annoying that my bladder can't hold much any more and now I get up 3-4 times every night to pee. Didn't have to do that until this year with diagnosis and seems something with my feeding tube surgery triggered it as it's been ever since that surgery. Almost forgot, there's also the daily maintenance of the feeding tube. Have to flush it out daily and change the 4x4 sterile dressing on it and reapply Desitin to keep sores from forming under the rubber disc. Rinse, repeat...every day. Feel lost most days. Not sure what to do, how to feel, how to manage etc. Esophagus cancer is truly one of, if not the most, evil illness one can get. Just completely shreds your life. I want to live, but I also want this nightmare to end. I thank you all for your prayers and support.

Next year on Halloween, Im going to say goodbye to Slash, and hello to Def Leppard. Its time to move on my dude. Sorry Slash, we all fade in time. 🤷‍♂️🎃 Def Leppard is scheduled to play in Edmonton at Rogers Place on Sunday, May 16, 2027 🎶 Plus we are going back to Edmonton to visit with family and see Def Leppard rock the Rogers Center. Row Two like a groupie lol So what member of the band is my costume next year?! Or would you suffer the humiliation of being Nickleback? We go to see them too next April... The shame though?! LOL
