For years, @RahulGandhi & @INCIndia have warned about the compromise of the Election Commission under Gyanesh Kumar. This confirms it.
Partisan bias is undeniable. Our democracy cannot be hostage to one man’s loyalty to the ruling establishment.
CEC Gyanesh Kumar must resign.
The Election Commission of India is under fire like never before.
The SIR has struck 13 crore names off draft rolls, putting the EC at the centre of intense public debate over its role in deciding who gets to vote — and who doesn’t.
HOWEVER, what nobody knew: through that same period, some of the sharpest questions were being asked from inside.
Out today, after months of work. Our #ExpressInvestigation 🧵

"Over the last twelve years great damage has been done to the fabric of our country, our democracy and our institutions. Even after this government goes it will take time to restore our systems back to health, and great effort from political parties.
People are now beginning to be restless and recognising the damage. But I am optimistic and I know that the people of India will welcome a return to proper governance."

A long time ago Rajiv and I realised that there was no point in trying to keep up with all that had been written about us. But, as I say in the book, there came a time when I felt that I should tell my own story.

Paid tribute to Smt. Indira Gandhi Ji on her 42nd death anniversary. Her courage, conviction and ultimate sacrifice for India's unity will never be forgotten.
Her spirit lives on in every Indian who stands for the nation! 🙏🇮🇳
👉 November 1 is going to be one of the biggest rallies of the INDIA Alliance at Ramlila Maidan.
👉 Today, an RTI revelation points to the government’s involvement in the Election Commission’s activities. Whenever the Election Commission sent a letter to the Cabinet Secretary, it was returned with the comment, “No need to act on it.” This means the matter was within the knowledge of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
👉 Modi and Shah are engaging in such activities related to elections by misusing Gyanesh Kumar’s position as Chief Election Commissioner.
👉 The government is sponsoring the CEC’s activities.

Attended the MLA excellence award function yesterday along with @mkraghavaninc, @kjayanthcalicut, District Collector, City Commissioner and others to celebrate the success of young students who achieved the topmost grade.
Visited Athira, a brave KSU leader brutally assaulted by Delhi Police recently.
Met her mother and family, along with @AdvVidyaBalakr1, Subramaniam Ji, Niyaz Ji, Block & Mandalam Presidents and Congress workers and neighbours who stood by her.
We stand with Athira.🙏
Heartbroken by the tragic stampede at the Chorbagan Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata. A moment of joy and celebration turned into a tragedy.

Delhi Police is refusing to register an FIR on the assault of our students.
Two young women, Athira from Kerala and Ritu from Rajasthan, along with many others, were beaten by Delhi Police.
I have spoken to Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and Rajasthan PCC President Govind Singh Dotasra. A Zero FIR has already been registered in Kerala. We will pursue every legal route against the officers responsible, in Kerala, in Rajasthan and in the courts.
Brutality by Amit Shah's Delhi Police will not go unchecked.
In 1930, at Dharasana, Sarojini Naidu led unarmed satyagrahis into police lathis. Not one of them raised a hand. The world watched.
Police can break bones. They cannot break a satyagraha.
India's youth, especially young women, are fearless, determined and united. They are standing up for our democracy, and I stand with them.
Deeply disturbed after meeting Athira, a DSU student from Keralam at @AdvJebiMather's residence after her hospital discharge.
She was brutally assaulted by Delhi Police during the recent protest, including blows to sensitive areas. This is shocking; demands an immediate inquiry!
My deepest condolences! A great loss, may he rest in peace 🙏🏻
Deeply saddened by the passing of Padma Shri Cheruvayal Raman, our beloved Ramettan.
He devoted his life to preserving Wayanad’s indigenous paddy seeds, keeping generations of Adivasi knowledge alive.
I join the people of Wayanad in mourning him. My heartfelt condolences to his family and all who loved him.
Yesterday, the nation's young came out in Delhi to peacefully protest. They came with love in their hearts, not hatred or anger. They were beaten, both by cops and BJP goons.
This is not the India we want.
Tomorrow, we will march to the Supreme Court as Indians, united beyond party, gender, caste, community and state.
Youth, all opposition parties, civil society groups, all those who believe in democracy and stand by the Constitution of India, will walk with us.
We will submit a memorandum to the Chief Justice on behalf of the nation, demanding an end to vote chori, halting of SIR and the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar.
Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Ajit Doval and Mohan Bhagwat cannot silence India's voice. These cowards cannot intimidate us. They will have to step aside.
We will march together, with love, brotherhood and patriotism.
Daro mat.
Tomorrow, all of India will march to the Supreme Court.

My deepest condolences 🙏🏻
Deeply saddened by the passing of former AICC General Secretary Shri Deepak Babaria ji.
A dedicated Congressman known for his simplicity, sincerity and unwavering commitment to Congress ideology, he began his political journey by championing the rights of workers and raising his voice for labour and trade unions.
His demise is a profound loss to the Congress party. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues in this hour of grief.
