The Guardian confuses the medium of exchange - money - with resources. If we have access to the latter choked by global insecurity in Europe, the Pacific and the Middle East then the money won't buy the things we need it to for the rest of the economy. Goods, Energy, People...

A statement from the Defence Secretary, @BWallaceMP, on a military operation to evacuate British Embassy staff and their dependants from Khartoum.
This morning, UK Armed Forces undertook a military operation alongside the US, France and other allies. They have evacuated British Embassy staff and their dependants from Khartoum due to the escalating threats against diplomats. The operation involved more than 1,200 personnel from 16 Air Assault Brigade, the Royal Marines and the RAF. I am grateful to all our partners.

They have evacuated British Embassy staff and their dependants from Khartoum due to the escalating threats against diplomats. And in the middle of the 20th Century 6 million Jews were murdered after being categorised as an inferior race. Not sure that’s prejudice.
