Like something from Warhammer 40,000, Ukrainian ballistic armor plates which stopped bullets painted with saints and consecrated as sacred relics.

A statement from the Defence Secretary, @BWallaceMP, on a military operation to evacuate British Embassy staff and their dependants from Khartoum.
This morning, UK Armed Forces undertook a military operation alongside the US, France and other allies. They have evacuated British Embassy staff and their dependants from Khartoum due to the escalating threats against diplomats. The operation involved more than 1,200 personnel from 16 Air Assault Brigade, the Royal Marines and the RAF. I am grateful to all our partners.

Are the armed forces capable of delivering an '80% solution'? Is it possible to bring about meaningful change at any rank? Why can't we get rid of car passes already? Pinstripedline blog on change, car passes and the subversive radical @combat_boot is up! tinyurl.com/3f96tf36
