CHNV parole was never a green card. Parole under INA 212(d)(5) is case-by-case permission to be here: not an admission, not status. If convicted, murder is an aggravated felony that bars asylum and cancellation. Removal follows the sentence. Legal immigrants pay for this.
NEW: Multiple DHS sources confirm to @FoxNews that the suspect charged w/ murdering a Walmart manager in Philadelphia, PA on Wednesday is a Haitian illegal alien who flew into the U.S. via former President Biden's CHNV mass parole migrant flights program in 2023. Per sources, 23-year-old Destino Jean-Louis flew into the US on 11/24/2023 via Fort Lauderdale International Airport, and his legal status was revoked on 6/12/2025 after President Trump terminated the program. According to investigators, Jean-Louis had previously been married to the victim he killed as part of an immigration-related sham marriage arrangement that was designed to help get him get a green card in the US. But after DHS denied the application in July, the victim, Latosha Cooper, withdrew the petition and cut off contact with him, and Jean-Louis became angry. He is accused of shooting Cooper in the head outside of the Walmart on Wednesday after finding out about her work schedule. He previously worked at the Walmart with her. The DA in Montgomery County, PA has now charged him with murder.

Ten years here and U.S. citizen kids don't pause the detained docket. Cancellation of removal can still win a green card in immigration court — but the judge's filing deadline is measured in weeks, and the parent can't gather a single document from inside.

What has to be proven: ten years of continuous presence before the Notice to Appear stopped the clock, good moral character, no disqualifying conviction, and exceptional and extremely unusual hardship to a qualifying relative. Hardship to the parent alone does not count.

A "non-deportable" plea isn't an immigration loophole. It's a charging choice. Immigration law reads the conviction, not the arrest, so the DA's downgrade decides it. A vacatur later just to beat ICE won't count (Matter of Pickering). The plea is the whole game.
🚨 GUIDE TO CODDLING CRIMINALS: The New York Post just blasted Bronx DA Darcel Clark and Queens DA Melinda Katz. A House Judiciary report says they taught prosecutors to DOWNGRADE charges into “non-deportable offenses” so illegal migrant criminals dodge ICE. Conceal facts. Soft pleas. Keep them here. Do the crime, not the time. That is New York under sanctuary DAs.

Withholding of removal isn't legal status. It bars removal to one country and nothing else: no green card, no path to citizenship, and the 2012 removal order stays final. If DHS believes the fear claim was fabricated, the fix that sticks is reopening to terminate withholding.
NOT a Texas father! He is an ILLEGAL ALIEN from Mali with a final order of removal from a judge, who said he’s homosexual in order to dodge deportation - despite having a wife and two kids at home. Wonder why @60Minutes didn’t ask him about that.

The Fifth Circuit's no-bond ruling isn't a no-bond rule for every immigrant. It covers people who entered without inspection, held under 8 U.S.C. 1225(b)(2)(A), in TX, LA and MS. A visa overstay was admitted. That's 1226(a), and an immigration judge can still set bond.

Moving out after you file for citizenship through marriage doesn't automatically kill your case. The 3-year rule asks whether you lived together for the 3 years before you filed. After filing, the marriage must stay legally valid until the oath.

A final divorce before the oath is different. It ends the marriage-based path, even if you already passed the interview. Never hide it. Tell USCIS the truth, bring the court papers, and have the dates checked before you decide to withdraw or refile.

Oregon can't make ICE get a judge's warrant to arrest. It can only refuse to help. ICE arrests run on administrative warrants under 8 U.S.C. 1226(a), and federal law outranks state law. The real fight is the front door: home entry without consent is a Fourth Amendment question.
“In Oregon, ICE needs judicial warrants.” False. ICE doesn’t need a judicial warrant to make an immigration arrest. They never have. Supremacy Clause. Doesn’t matter what laws Oregon & other states pass to try to put rules on ICE. They’ve all been slapped down by federal courts.

The fastest way to wreck a green card case is to check the "citizen" box on a voter form. A false claim of U.S. citizenship is a lifetime bar with no waiver, 8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(6)(C)(ii). Unlawful voting adds 1182(a)(10)(D). Anyone urging a noncitizen to register is hurting him.
🚨 BOMBSHELL: Canvassers aligned with Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) and Dems in Arizona were trying to let a man register to vote as a NONCITIZEN This is happening EVERYWHERE 🤯 The Dem activists straight-up hear that he's a "noncitizen" and want him to vote anyway... The groups caught on camera, according to Muckraker: - Stand Indivisible Arizona: told a "Canadian" to register, and said other Canadians should "do it online" - Worker Power: checked "yes" on citizenship for someone who said they weren't a citizen - When We Count (DNC program): told a felon on probation "You should just do it" - AFL-CIO phone bank: on whether to ask people if they're citizens, "We don't care" These groups are on the ground right now. And they are trying to allow as much cheating as possible! It's on camera! This is exactly why we need the SAVE America Act. Proof of citizenship should NOT be optional! Katie Hobbs needs to be ousted with overwhelming numbers. Get Andy Biggs in there and clean up AZ elections!

Switching immigration lawyers in the middle of a deportation case is allowed. The court doesn't pause for it. Your old lawyer stays on record until the judge approves the switch, and court notices keep going to them until then. A new lawyer is not a reason to move your hearing date.

"Not to my knowledge" won't settle this. Records will. Her citizenship claim turns on two checkable facts: did her father naturalize, and was she under 18 when he did? In 2000, derivation ran on old INA 321, not the Child Citizenship Act. No charges yet. Pull the file.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) when asked by MS Now tonight if she married her brother: "Not to my knowledge."

Switching immigration lawyers mid-case? You can, but the court won't wait. Your hearing stays on the calendar, and until the judge grants the substitution, every notice still goes to your old lawyer. Start the handoff the day you decide.

Your spouse withdrew the I-130 marriage petition. What happens to your green card case? Only the petitioner can withdraw it. USCIS can't refuse, and it can't be undone. Pending: closed. Approved: revoked. Either way, the green card application built on it gets denied.

After that denial, the work permit and travel permit lose their basis, and your time stops counting as authorized stay. A path may remain: a new petition, or a VAWA self-petition if there was abuse. Start by learning where your case stood. Full guide: lawofficeimmigration.com/blo…

Practice note on @USCIS e-filing: paper isn't dead yet. The Aug. 11 interim rule lets USCIS mandate online filing only for forms e-fileable 180+ days, and only after a 60-day notice on its website. Until that form-specific notice runs, a paper filing still counts.
USCIS will soon require online filing for most forms. Digital submissions help us receive, store, and access information more efficiently, supporting stronger fraud detection, identity management, and national security screening.

What to do now: set up a USCIS online account, check the form page before every filing, and know a hardship waiver exists for those who can't file online. Online intake catches defects up front, so fewer rejections for people doing it right. Rule: federalregister.gov/document…
