I stole this discipline trick from the military. My kids used to ignore me until I repeated myself 5 times. Now they respond the first time. Every time. Here's what changed: I give the instruction once. Then I count to 3 in my head. If they haven't moved by 3, immediate consequence. No warning. No negotiation. They learned: Dad's words mean something. Consistency beats volume.

Can we push code to production without looking at the code? We do that when we use products like Base44, but in existing apps and especially regulated one, it's an issue, because how can you make a hard boundary between the part of code we don't care to then one we care? [1/2]

A biological attack is planned for Saturday 600 million pounds of sugar laced with synthetic chemicals will enter the bodies of our children. Wreaking metabolic havoc, injuring vascular architecture, acidifying oral lining, releasing bacterial toxins, and blunting neural reward pathways. Instructing that gluttonous consumption of poison is celebratory.

It may seem quaint to manually click through a financial app in the near future. Instead you'll talk to your agent to let it know what you want, and it will prompt you for approvals (or even take some actions on your behalf if you want). Everyone can have their own private banker. We’re building Coinbase to be the most AI-enabled financial account. Both with a first party interface (Coinbase Advisor) and via third party interfaces (bring your own agent). Trade, pay, borrow, etc - all through your agent, with clear limits and controls. Our new agents page is live, so you can quickly get started. Check it out: coinbase.com/agents
We’re rolling out the red carpet for agents. Our new Coinbase for Agents page shows how you can connect ChatGPT, Grok, Muse, or another agent to Coinbase. → Research → Manage your portfolio → Trade crypto and stocks. Your strategy, your agent, your limits.

"We can fix everything." This has become one of the mottos of @Omarchy, and it represents a fundamental shift in how we think about our operating systems. On Windows and macOS, we're used to countless papercuts, annoying bugs, and downright idiotic design decisions. Most of the time, there's nothing we can do about them. We find workarounds and eventually learn to live with the frustration. Omarchy changes that. If something annoys you, FIX IT! Your OS should adapt to you, not the other way around. And thanks to AI coding agents, you don't even need to be an experienced developer anymore. Anyone can make these changes. Once you get used to fixing things instead of putting up with them, it's hard to go back.

if this PHP vulnerability allows remote code execution, doesn't that mean we can use the vulnerability to auto-patch all vulnerable servers?

Two weeks ago I kicked off a loop to move OpenClaw's Lit-based Web frontend to Solid 2.0. Took ~6 days until we could remove Lit, and another week to move patterns to idiomatic Solid. I checked in with the session every other day, overall the process was mostly automatic. Took about ~600 PRs. Result: Smaller JS and CSS footprint and much more fine-grained update control. Everything feeling more snappy and responsive. team.openclaw.ai/chat/robocl…

Cell phone addiction is an absolute thermonuke to the brain and nobody 'takes it seriously' because it is not clear that there is any solution in a world where the revealed preference of everyone across the globe, regardless of income, race, age, any factor whatsoever, would rather be on their phone than do *anything* else. Deciding "I use this too much" and meaningfully altering one's behaviour doesn't seem to have much success for any of the very small minority of people with the sentience or self-reflection to realize how bad it is. Most people seem to think of it as an unproductive habit at most, rather than an addiction. Any attempt to speak seriously about this is met with derision, accusations of pretentiousness. There is no real solution to it. The future of human cognition fifty years down the line is horrifying if you stop and think about it for even a moment.

Just a reminder about something I said a few years back: “addiction is a progressive narrowing of the things that bring you pleasure.” “Enlightenment (for lack of a better term) is a progressive expansion of what brings your pleasure.” Are you addicted to something? If so, what?

David Sacks (@DavidSacks) says Marc Benioff is letting Claude own Salesforce's front end, and risking disintermediation on purpose: "He is integrating Salesforce into Claude. He's willing to allow Claude to be the front end, to have the sort of the primary user relationship." "So in other words, Benioff here is willing to risk disintermediation in order to ride this AI wave because he knows it's what the customer ultimately wants." "You don't want to go into Salesforce or any SaaS application to write your agents. You want to create agents in the AI program that you're using. And you want those agents to be able to run across all of your SaaS platforms." "Why is this ultimately good for his business and not bad is because, like I said, I still think that you need systems of record. You need the AI agents to basically go to those systems, get the data from a canonical source of truth. You just don't want there to be any probabilistic variability around that." "It's not a rip and replace." "Benioff is saying that the AI is now the user interface. He's basically acknowledging that he's leaning into it." - David Sacks, All-In co-host, on the All-In Podcast episode published August 29, three days after Salesforce and Anthropic announced their Claudeforce partnership.
