The original #DigiDollar mainnet activation and the later Thaw Day changes are separate events in $DGB history. 💡 Core v9.26.5 records the original DD activation at block 23,869,440. The v9.26.6 release notes specify block 24,490,000 for the later scheduled rule changes. When reading an old announcement, check which event it's discussing. 'DigiDollar activation' on its own can hide an important difference.

When asking about a #DigiDollar amount, say whether you're looking at a payment or a collateral estimate. The same number can mean something quite different on those two screens.

The fee attached to a $DGB transaction is part of the miner's reward for the block that includes it. ⛏️ It isn't a subscription paid to the wallet application every time you open it.

Sending $DGB between two wallets you control still makes an on-chain transaction. ❗️ The network doesn't know that both ends belong to you. It processes the transaction according to the same rules as another payment, including the network fee. For your own records, mark it as a transfer between your wallets. Otherwise, looking back at one wallet on its own can make an internal move look like money paid to somebody else. 💡

#DigiDollar has a dollar target, but 'DD' is still the unit you're sending. Label it as DD in a payment agreement so nobody mistakes it for a bank transfer in USD.

An abandoned #DigiDollar mint isn't a redeemed vault. That distinction matters in the wallet history: an unsuccessful attempt and a completed collateral redemption describe different events.

An old $DGB transaction can still be part of the history your node validates today. New activity builds on that history. It's one reason a fresh full-node sync involves more than downloading a recent balance.

💡 When DigiByte Core is syncing, it's working through blockchain information so it can check the chain for itself. A wallet opened after a long break may need to catch up before its view is current. The program being open doesn't mean that work has finished ❗️ Look at its sync status before using an old balance display to judge a recent $DGB payment. A current view gives the rest of the conversation a much better starting point.
