Don't fall for the theater they are putting on with the elections in Israel. They will try to pin all the blame on Netanyahu, but the truth is that the entire nation is involved in this genocide.

Always offended, but never ashamed. OFFENDED BY A PALESTINIAN STICKER. Yet claims the genocide is fake and that Israel killing Palestinian children is fake.

The "anti-Netanyahu block" is also pro-genocide, Emily
Israeli Exit Polls show Netanyahu's been defeated. Israel has rejected his dark vision, forever war & cruel, dystopic, authoritarian policies. But to succeed, the anti Netanyahu block needs to work with the Israeli Arab parties. I dearly hope this great chance isn't wasted
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Exit polls showed neither Netanyahu's bloc nor the opposition reaching the 61 seats needed for a majority, resulting in a deadlock rather than a clear defeat. timesofisrael.com/exit-polls-sho… timesofisrael.com/eisenkot-and-n… afp.com/en/israel-oppo… theguardian.com/world/live/202…

Israeli-American brothers sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for serial sex trafficking —— Alon, Oren, and Tal Alexander—three brothers from a prominent Israeli-American family who once dominated high-society real estate and security circles in New York and Miami—were each sentenced to 30 years in federal prison on Tuesday for sex trafficking, conspiracy, and multiple counts of sexual abuse. Presiding US District Judge Valerie Caproni delivered the sentences in a Manhattan courtroom following an emotional, hours-long hearing where more than a dozen survivors delivered harrowing impact statements detailing years of systemic abuse. During the five-week trial, federal prosecutors laid out evidence demonstrating how the brothers exploited their immense wealth, high social status, and Israeli-American background ties to lure women to luxury properties—including estates in the Hamptons and international locations such as Tel Aviv—before drugging and violently assaulting them while incapacitated. While Tal and Oren operated elite luxury real estate brokerages, their twin brother Alon worked as an executive at their family’s security firm, utilizing their network to shield their predatory conduct. Judge Caproni firmly rejected the defendants' late assertions of innocence and unconvincing appeals for mercy, describing their actions as "monstrous" and likening them to "sadistic, misogynistic sexual predators." The landmark sentencing marks a dramatic downfall for the brothers, who maintained their defiant stance even as victims confronted them directly in court. Federal prosecutors had pushed for life sentences, citing the profound psychological trauma inflicted upon more than 70 victims who came forward to investigators.

No. They are only filed by those who oppose US imperialism. Lavajato was an operation directed by Washington to remove a leftist government

Oh. I see. So "kangaroo court charges" are filed against opposing political candidates by the ruling parties in Brazil?

My favorite thing in the world is watching Democrat politicians passionately extol all the things they have refused to do for the last fifty years. My second favorite thing is watching all the stupid Democrat voters act like they haven't been around this bend a billion times.
If we can afford tax breaks for the richest people in this country, don't tell me we can't afford to pay public school teachers and support staff a living wage.

Polymarket had Bolsonaro at 80%+. Lula won. And guess what? CNN and CBS are now putting Kalshi odds on air for the US midterms.
Polymarket got the Brazilian election completely wrong. The glorified gambling platform had Flavio Bolsonaro's odds at over 80% all the way up to the day voting took place. Lula ended up with 51.8% of the vote. futurism.com/future-society/…

Humanity has the freedom to fail this test and go the way of the dinosaur. We’re allowed to take that path if that’s what we collectively choose to do. We can allow a few massively outnumbered plutocrats and empire managers to drive our species to extinction via climate disaster, nuclear holocaust, or AI apocalypse if we want to. We are completely free to do that. I don’t know about you, but I actually find this a comforting thought. When you take a close look at the existential hurdles that humanity is faced with, it can feel pretty bleak. Global capitalism is destroying the biosphere we all depend on for survival. The western empire is getting increasingly comfortable engaging in reckless brinkmanship with nuclear-armed rivals. The AI arms race is shoving through wildly unpredictable technologies at a rapidly accelerating rate with alarmingly little institutional oversight or caution. But when you notice that all of these existential threats are entirely man-made, you realize that this means humanity has the ability to un-make them as well. We have the freedom to do either. It’s up to us. I find this a comforting insight because it puts the ball in our court. We can choose to rise up and use the power of our numbers to save ourselves from doom, or we can choose not to. The universe, apparently, is fine with either choice. If it wasn’t, we wouldn’t be holding the ball. And who am I to argue with the universe? If the universe wants humanity to have the freedom to either go extinct in the near term or survive deep into the distant future, then I can make space within myself to allow that freedom, too. Whether or not we make it is not up to me as an individual. I can control my own actions, but I cannot control the actions of my fellow homo sapiens as a whole. And if our species as a collective decides that revolutionary change is not desirable enough or too scary or too difficult to seize, then I can submit to the will of the collective. I can hold enough grace and compassion for my species to honor its sovereign decision. “We’ll either pass the test or we won’t.” That’s what I tell myself when things are looking dark. I give humanity the freedom to make its decision, and in so doing I free myself. I do what I can to move the needle in whatever way my limited means allow me to, and then beyond that I submit to the will of our better angels. I do my work, and then I let go. I let go and enjoy my time on this beautiful blue planet here. Because I don’t know how much longer it will last.

Reading Cory Doctorow's Enshittification "When ICC issued a warrant for Netanyahu's arrest ... Microsoft turned off the court's Outlook service. Without warning the justices lost their email, their documents, their calendars, their address books... " Microsoft claims this was a coincidence. Doctorow does not believe them

Let's be honest, the West hates Mao because he liberated Chinese people, united the country, and made it impossible to be a Western puppet. Moreover, he inspired more Asian, African, and Latin American people's anti-colonial and anti-imperialist movements. The West slanders any leader who refuses to obey them. Mao was a great strategist, revolutionist, thinker, writer and leader. Long live the great unity of the people of the world!💪
To us Chinese, Mao Zedong is our hero. Mao uplifted farmers and the working class in China, united the Chinese people, led us to defeat foreign invaders, and founded an independent country so we could all live with dignity. Mao supported the heroic struggle of the African people against imperialism and colonialism. He was one of the greatest leaders in world history, and one of the most demonized by the West.

Russell Brand’s trial is devastating. Testimony describes him as a rabid animal, demanding sex every few hours from whoever happened to be around, and taking it regardless of consent Brand’s defense is that women knew he was a degenerate maniac, so they should have expected it by being in a room with him (several allege he attacked them in public and tried to drag them into bathroom stalls) This is separate from FIVE disturbing allegations in Channel 4 Dispatches. Brand has zero regard for women as human beings - I can’t even imagine how many victims there truly are Blows my mind that so many people peddle his lunacy portraying him as a truth-telling martyr being smeared by the establishment - and buy his newfound religious hucksterism Makes sense he’s leapt into the movement of sexual offenders and pedophiles, where he belongs (other than prison)
