In 2017 Pittsburgh DSA cleverly started winning small local Dem primary races in & around Pittsburgh. The local Dems had taken their voters for granted & DSA slowly began winning big races.
This is why the county executive & Lee now have power--local elections have consequences.
Allegheny County set the standard and made history with the first county-level paid parental leave policy in the country.
This victory reflects the power of organizing and advocacy. No parent should have to choose between a paycheck and caring for their newborn. Now it's time to guarantee paid family and medical leave for every worker, in every county, in every state.

Don’t like mail-in voting?
If democrats win in Pennsylvania this November, Shapiro will make PA an automatic mail-in voting state.
You want election integrity in PA? All of that goes out the window if Republicans don’t vote this November.

After a newborn died of a ruptured spleen during an at-home birth, Gov. Josh Shapiro said it was measles. The coroner says it wasn't.
Health officials scold that the infant was unvaccinated. Babies receive the MMR vaccine at 6 months to a year. The newborn presumably was only a few hours old.
Five days before the presser, a Democrat dark money group advised hitting Republicans on Trump's vaccine policy.

Opting in to the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit is a no- brainer.
If PA doesn’t opt in by January 1st, 2027, participating states will receive the scholarship $$ intended for 1.8M PA students.
It’s time to put PA’s students above politics and opt in.
