The story of the late 23 year old Latifa Akumu Orimba whose dismembered body was found statched in a gunny bag in Nithi Bridge, Chuka Igamba Ngombe constituency, Tharaka Nithi County is such a painful one. It shows the level of moral decay in our society. Latifa just recently appeared very emotional mourning her departed mother on 3rd October 2026 after long illness, the family lived in Kibra, Nairobi. She was devastated by the loss of her mother such that her aunt Jaber Nyoremo shared her images literally holding her tears. Little did she know that she would also die in the same month💔💔💔😭😭. It is reported that afte laying her mother to rest, she returned to their Kibra home an on 26th October 2026, she dissapeared without a trace. She was reported to have been last seen around Nyayo High-rise in Kibra downing a black dress and a red sweater. That was her last record alive before her dismembered body was found more than 250 kms away in Nithi Bridge with police believing she was murdered elsewhere and body transported there. Her boyfriend has since been arrested and in police custody but it's the manner in which she was gruesomely murdered that has shattered manny people. A young bright girl with promising future cut short, murderer by unknown people who have no respect for humanity. I am sad💔💔💔💔💔😭😭😭. RIP jaber Latifa Akumu nyar Homa Bay County. I am deeply saddened by this kind of mutilation. Our daughter from Homa Bay robbed from us. We demand for justice and accountability!
