I highly recommend buying 1 of 1 pieces from artists/designers you like.
A folder of images on your hard drive is nice, but having the actual object is way cooler and more inspiring.
Eg, I got this animation cel from the video for "Right Back At It Again" by A Day To Remember, directed by Drew Russ (a friend who's also directed lots of great videos for bands like Pierce The Veil, August Burns Red, etc).
Even if they don't have anything "for sale," just ask them anyway and they might think of something.
