Please share to help Ricky and Max find a home together #HEREFORD #HEREFORDSHIRE #ENGLAND #UK - Abandoned by their owner, they are feeling stressed in kennels, available for adoption✅ Ricky- Crossbreed, approx 2 years old Max - Poodle, 4 years old These are the faces of two lovely boys that were sadly abandoned by their owner with no second thought for their fate. Two boys that were scared, confused and didn’t understand why their beloved person had walked away, left them and denied all knowledge of ever knowing them. (We know the full story). Poor Max had taken it the hardest, he didn’t eat for a week as he felt so lost, he couldn’t bring himself to trust anyone and would freeze every time we approached him. Thankfully we’ve managed to win this little ones heart and he has now become the sweetest little lad who loves to give kisses and cuddles to the ones he knows and loves. Ricky is such a darling, again he didn’t eat properly for days but is a gentle boy who enjoys human companionship and prances around on his tippy toes. A beautiful boy with a lovely character. We would love to keep the boys together if we can as they’ve been through such a lot together and they are a bonded pair. It’s likely any new owner would need to visit a few times to build up a good bond with Ricky and Max as they can be afraid of new unknown people. We have found that they both prefer ladies as they feel safe in their company, men can be rather scary to them. Ideally we are looking for a home where they can be the only pets to ensure they settle well into their new environment without any added pressure. At this stage we feel an adult only home would be best suited due to little Max’s timid nature. If you would like to enquire about Ricky & Max please give us a call directly on 01568 760033. 💙💙 Please contact Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue if you can help keep them together or just share to help get them seen. He’s just had a groom which has revealed even more scars ,we do know some of what poor Sooty has had to go through, and it’s very clear that he’s had a very tough life in his past . He’s a sensitive little man who is quiet as a mouse in his kennel and likes to keep tucked up in his bed . But! We’ve already seen his Patterdale side shine when he’s out of his kennel and he gets to play, if there’s no toys around, a leaf will do for Sooty and he will run around throwing his leaf around. Please retweet to help Rolo find an experienced home #ESSEX #UK 🐶🏡❤️ Available for adoption, registered British Charity ✅ Details or apply for Rolo below 👇 gsrelite.co.uk/rolo/ 'We were asked by a pound to take in this young lad whose time was up and he was being euthanised in a matter of days. Rolo, as he was named, is a GSD cross Mali we believe. He was microchipped but not registered but we believe he was only about 1 year old. Now neutered and vaccinations have been restarted. Rolo is a very friendly lad but has absolutely no manners or boundaries, but no malice in him. He loves toys and is a typical energetic, young hooligan! No young children as we do not know his history and his manners are not calm enough. Has been tested with other dogs and will need continued socialisation work but has improved greatly. Rolo will need an experienced home that can continue teaching him some manners and training whilst socialising him with other dogs. This lad will be great fun but probably quite tiring. This is what the kennels have to say about Rolo: “Rolo, now this lad is the cheekiest funniest lad ever! He is so funny with his cheeky ways and playful side. He is a no to dogs and cats. When you play with Rolo he does mouth but with a firm no he does listen. He does walk well on lead. He just needs his chance in life.”- @gsrescueelite Please share, let's give Rolo the chance he deserves 🐶 This small charity also has many other dogs looking for experienced forever and foster homes across England and Wales - gsrelite.co.uk/adoption-dogs… #dogs #dog #Basildon #Loughton #England #GermanShepherd #Malinois #Wales

Very urgent, please retweet to help Oscar an Freya find a home together #AYR #SCOTLAND #UK ⭐️🐶🐶⭐️ BONDED PAIR Aged 8 and 11 at risk of being split as no one has shown interest in adopting them together 💔💔 Oscar & Freya - In Ayr looking for a home together Oscar DOB 1.6.16 Neutered male Freya DOB 15.12.13 Neutered Female Oscar and Freya have found themselves back in rescue after the sad passing of their mummy ❤️ Freya had been in her home for nearly 10 years and Oscar for about 7 and because of this we are looking to rehome them as a bonded pair as they really do love each other and having already lost their family, we think it’s important that they have each other 😢 Oscar is a small medium and the more confident of the two and never stops wagging his tail ❤️ He loves everyone and just wants to be loved and fussed, but that said he is not a needy dog and can also be left to play and cosy up with his best friend Freya. Freya is a little more shy until she knows you and quite often hangs back and lets Oscar steal the limelight, but she also loves a fuss and us a very gentle soul. Both dogs are clean in the house, will happily use a crate and travel well in a car. I don’t think they have had many lead walks of late, but both walk nicely on a lead once they are settled. This adorable pair would suit many different homes, but we would like them to go to a quieter one and if there are any children, would prefer them to be older. They have always lived in a home with a garden and we would prefer them to continue to live in this environment and they would make fabulous companions for an older person or couple. If you have room in your heart and home for these sweet, loving dogs please pop onto our website at savingandrehomingstrays.org and complete an application form and if you can’t adopt them, please share far and wide as the more shares they get, the higher their chances are of finding a home together. Please retweet, the British pet crisis is finally in the news!! Warning... 'We are going to see a mass cull of dogs in the #UK" ‼️‼️' 'Dog rescue sector 'at breaking point' charity says'- @BBCNews The founder of a dog rescue centre has said she is no longer able to keep up with demand ( to take in abandoned dogs). Ms Cartwright warned that if the numbers of dogs being given up did not reduce "we are going to see a mass cull of dogs in the UK" Lisa Cartwright set up Greyhound Gap in ##Kidsgrove, #Staffordshire, two decades ago, and currently houses 70 dogs. She said charities like hers were now "all at breaking point". She said there were a number of issues, including over-breeding, a lack of regulation and there was "no appetite for re-homing at the moment". An extra 3.2m households across the UK bought a pet between 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic, with many taking the opportunity to get a dog while working from home. The subsequent cost-of-living crisis meant owners struggled to buy pet food and cover medical bills including simple treatments. Ms Cartwright said she believes people have re-homed as many dogs as they can and she was seeing councils being forced to put stray dogs to sleep, to keep on top of the numbers. "We're in a worse position than we've ever been, it does make me question what I am doing," she said. Vanessa Rigby, a volunteer at Greyhound Gap said: "I don't think you can blame it all now on Covid. "We're four years on from Covid and the dogs that are coming in aren't four years old." She said the cost of living crisis could have led to an increase in the number of dogs being given up. The RSPCA said it got called out to help more than 14,000 abandoned and neglected dogs across the country last year - a rise of 25% on the previous 12 months‼️‼️ Details and credit to 👇 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy66… @APDAWG1 @marcthevet #dogs #dog #puppy #Puppies @lorraine @thismorning @GMB @RSPCA_official @The_Blue_Cross @BritishVets @MissingPetsGB @DogLostUK @JaneFallon @Nightowl400 @LisaClareRead2 #pets @radioleary @EamonnHolmes @AlisonHammond @DogsTrust @rosiedoc666 @DefraGovUK @susannareid100 @Battersea_ @HopeRescue @SpanielAidUK #England #London #adoptdontshop #Rescuedogs @gsrescueelite @LurcherSOS @BBCNews @itvnews @Channel4News Adopt a dog from Greyhound Gap, Staffordshire below greyhoundgap.org.uk/ Picture shows Charlie, available for adoption.
