After many months of work, I’m pleased to share with you that my first book, The Moral Case for Zionism, is slated for publication with Wicked Son (Post Hill Press) on October 22.
Written largely at my father’s bedside, this book, which I’ve dedicated to him, argues that Zionism – one of the most misunderstood ideas of our time – offers something meaningful not only to Jews, but to everyone. It traces my own Zionist journey, explores the moral principles at the heart of the Zionist spirit, and examines the profound dangers posed by the rise of the antizionist hate movement throughout much of the West. It also provides several practical ways that both Jews and non-Jews can embrace Zionist ideas, and in my mind, live a life informed by the underlying ethos of early Zionist thinking.
While pre-order is not available, the book will be for sale online on October 22. If you’re interested, I would also be delighted to come and speak to you and your organization and/or community about Zionism, antizionism, and other related issues that I touch on in the book, and elsewhere. Please DM me if you’d like to explore that, and either my assistant or I will get back to you ASAP. Thank you so much for your support. It means the world to me.
Beautiful.
This is perhaps the best parenting advice you’ll ever see.

This post didn’t go they way they thought it would 🤭 It’s so refreshing to see Canadians waking up 🙌
We are disturbed to learn that @CalgaryOpera has removed bass-baritone Gabriel Sanchez-Ortega from future performances of "Tosca" after he unveiled a Palestinian flag during the curtain call on opening night. Art is political, and artists should not be punished for expressing support for the Palestinian people as they face a genocide. This decision must be reversed.
Wild. I thought Israel was an apartheid state.

In his new book, Casey Babb argues that Zionism offers something meaningful not just to the Jewish community but to all people.
Tomorrow, @zriboua will sit down with @DrCaseyBabb to examine the moral principles at the heart of the Zionist spirit and the dangers posed by the rise of anti-Zionism and antisemitism across the West.

My latest for the @nationalpost.
"What transforms Israel from being a state for Jews into a state built upon Jewish values is, to a great extent, the underlying moral virtues of Zionism."

Since October 7, I've had more conversations about Zionism than at any other point in my life. Some were with people who share my views. Many were with people who don't. Nearly all of them convinced me of the same thing: we need more honest, informed, face-to-face dialogue, not less.
That's a big part of why I wrote The Moral Case for Zionism, and it's why I'm now looking to bring that conversation to more rooms. I'm interested in speaking with communities, schools, universities, synagogues, churches, civic groups, and professional organizations about:
1) What Zionism actually is, where it came from, and why it still matters for Jews and non-Jews alike.
2) How antizionism has evolved, and the dangers this hate movement represents.
3) Why the health of the Jewish community has always been a reliable barometer for the health of a broader society, and what that means for all of us right now.
Whether your audience is Jewish or not, supportive or skeptical, I'd welcome the chance to talk, listen, and take hard questions. If you're part of an organization that might be interested, send me a message. I'd love to hear from you.

So the Arabs from Arabia are indigenous to Judea, while Jews colonised Judea. Got it.
Yeah, so my father arrived in the UK in 1966 as a legal immigrant. He and his fellow Indian immigrants didn’t claim the entire country was theirs, didn’t kick 100s of 1000s of Brits out of their homes, and didn’t set up an Indian ethno-national state in the UK. If you’re too dumb or dishonest to understand the difference between normal, legal immigration and settler colonialism, that’s on you, not me.

These two teenage boys may have killed me. They were, after all, planning to carry out a suicide bombing at a Jewish event I attended here in Ottawa. Because of this, I remember the case quite clearly.
What this article leaves out is the fact that the parents of these youth helped radicalize them — but they'll face no criminal charges or consequences. One of the fathers involved, for instance, who is from Iraq, made appalling social media posts about "Zionists" and Jews, suggesting that all Israelis should be murdered.
It's a good thing both of these terrorists will spend some time behind bars, but they won't be in there forever, and the households they return to will likely remain cesspools of Islamic extremism. We need to get serious about addressing the root cause here. Right now, we're playing jihadi Whack-a-Mole, and that can only do so much, for so long. An absolutely horrifying case — but it won't be the last.
