It's in a quiet room somewhere in Nigeria, surrounded by the humming of a generator choking on ridiculously priced petrol, I sit to write this because our silence has become far too expensive. We are living through another cycle of democratic rituals, an elaborate, multi-billion Naira theatre where the actors change costumes, but the script remains viciously the same. Every four years, we are summoned like desperate believers to the ballot box, told that our ink-stained thumbs hold the key to our salvation. We are instructed to perform our civic duty, even as the very ground beneath us caves under the weight of hunger, insecurity, and systemic plunder. What a sore, heartbreaking spectacle it is to watch a people so brilliant, so resilient, and so deeply deserving of dignity be reduced to mere statistics on electoral commission dashboards. Look at us on election day. Look at the aged mother walking miles under a punishing sun, her knees aching, carrying a battered plastic chair just to stand in line for hours. Look at the young graduate, brimming with vision and fire, guarding his vote as if it were the last vial of medicine in a plague-ridden land. We stand in those queues not out of love for the political class, but out of a stubborn, radical refusal to give up on the idea that tomorrow might hurt a little less. Yet, how are we rewarded? Before the ink even dries on our fingers, the machinery of disinheritance grinds into motion. The ballot boxes are snatched or altered in dark rooms; the results are delayed until the dead of night when the nation is asleep; and by morning, a political oligarchy that holds nothing but contempt for our lives declares itself victorious. They tell us to "go to court," knowing fully well that they hold the keys to every door in the house. And then comes the aftermath, the cruelest part of the ritual. To keep us from burning down the gilded gates of their palaces, they deploy their oldest weapon: division. They tell the man in Kano that his poverty is the fault of the man in Enugu. They tell the woman in Lagos that her trader neighbor from the East is the reason her rent went up. They carve our shared agony into Christian vs. Muslim, North vs. South, tribe vs. tribe. They force us to butcher each other over crumbs while they share the entire loaf at executive banquets, clinking glasses filled with the proceeds of our collective ruin. How many more electoral cycles must we sacrifice our youth to political thugs? How many more times will we watch a mother mourn her son who was shot at a polling unit, only for his death to be swallowed by the news cycle as "minor election violence"? We have normalized the abnormal. We have allowed ritualized betrayal to be called "democracy." And yet, I write this not from a place of defeat, but from a place of deep, fierce, and unyielding love for us, the long-suffering citizens of this nation. Because despite the stolen mandates, the bought votes, and the engineered despair, the Nigerian spirit remains an unyielding miracle. In the face of a state that actively works against our survival, we still build industries out of dust, create music that moves the world, and look out for one another in the dark. Our greatest crime is that we have trusted a rotten system to deliver a wholesome future. We cannot vote our way out of bondage if we continue to play by the rules designed by our captors. Electoral democracy without structural justice is just a periodic renewal of our servitude. It is time to drop the fables of political saviors. No messiah is coming from the political class to hand us a functional country on a silver platter. Our triumph will not begin at the polling unit; it will begin the day we reject the manufactured hatred that divides us. The day the starving youth in Sokoto realizes that his hunger speaks the exact same language as the starving youth in Aba. The day we realize that our power is not in the ballot paper they tamper with, but in our collective, organized refusal to let them govern us into the grave. It is 2:08 PM now. The afternoon heat is relentless, the generator is sputtering out of fuel, and the oppressive quiet of another blackout settles in. But even in this darkness, I still believe in us. My loyalty remains with the righteous, exhausted, and unbroken people of this country. Our triumph is delayed, but it is not denied. May we awaken to build the nation we actually deserve.

My fiancé never wanted children. I’ve known since our first date that I wanted four, but I told him I could live without them. For six years, I convinced myself love would be enough.

“Please, I know I have no right to ask you for anything, but I'm struggling. I haven't eaten since yesterday, and I might lose my job because of my debts.” I sat quietly, staring at my phone. This was the same man who had watched me cry while packing my belongings. Still, I sent him the little money I had saved for our daughter's new school uniform. He thanked me and started crying. That evening, my daughter asked me a question that broke my heart. “Mummy, if Daddy is suffering, why can't he come back home?” I held her close, fighting back tears. How could I explain to a little girl that her father had chosen to leave us, even when all we wanted was for him to stay?

WHO IS ON DOCTOR DOOM'S TEAM IN AVENGERS DOOMSDAY. Doctor Doom's team supposedly consists of Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Clea, and Sylvie. And here's what happened. This year at San Diego Comic Con, they showcased three different librarian witches. *One was green, *one was purple, *one was red. And fans immediately started putting theories together. The red and green ones were obviously Scarlet Witch and Sylvie, but the purple ones kind of had fans divided. People didn't know if it was Agatha or Clea. But then a supposed picture leaked online for a fourth live action witch. This one was dressed in all black with a third eye slot in the middle of his forehead. And obviously people thought this was Doctor Strange because at the end of multiverse of madness, he had that third eye. This made people immediately think that the Purple One is obviously cleo. But here's the crazy part. The four of them teaming up with Doctor Doom isn't actually that crazy. They all showed in the past that they're willing to make extreme choices for what they believe is the greater good. I mean, Wanda did it for her kids. Doctor Strange is constantly making sacrifices for the greater good. Sylvie killed he who remains, and Cleo was already trying to stop incursions. If Doctor Doom convinces them that he's the only One who can save the multiverse. I could definitely see the four of them teaming up with Doctor Doom as their leader. The Avengers are screwed. I mean, what are Sam Wilson, Red Guardian, and US agent gonna do against four of the most powerful magical beings in all of the MCU? So, what do you think? Can the Avengers take them? Let's talk about it.

Victor DM’d me at 2:17 a.m. again. “Bro, after I sent his wife the videos, she didn’t just call me. She pulled up. We fucked in the car while she was still on the phone with him, speaker on. He heard everything. Then she hung up, smiled, and said, ‘Your turn.’ She drove me to the hotel. The same one. My girl and his best friend were still inside. We walked in. She had a key. They were on the bed. His best friend looked up and froze. My girl started screaming. His wife didn’t. She just sat on the chair, crossed her legs, and said, ‘Continue. Or I send the rest to his parents, her pastor, and the police.’ They continued. I filmed it. Then she made me join. All four of us. No one spoke. When it was done, his wife stood up, wiped her mouth, and handed me a pregnancy test from her bag. Positive. She said, ‘This one’s yours. From last month. The night you thought I was just your girl’s best friend.’ My girl started laughing. Like she’d been waiting for this. She pointed at his best friend and said, ‘He’s not even the father of the other one. I never told you I have a twin. She was the one in half those videos.’

No matter how many times I watched this scene It still remains goated 🎥🍿
The day my divorce was finalized, my ex-husband called me crying, asking for money to pay our daughter’s school fees. Two years earlier, he had sent me away with nothing but a travelling bag and our three-year-old daughter. He told our families he was tired of the marriage and wanted peace. I begged him to reconsider, but he had already made up his mind. After the divorce, I struggled to survive. I started selling food from home, saved every little profit, and paid our daughter’s school fees without asking him for help. Sometimes, I went to bed hungry so my daughter could eat. Then, one Monday morning, my phone rang. It was my ex-husband. His voice was shaking.

One night, I finally gathered the courage to ask her, “Baby, don't you miss how we used to be?” She put her phone down and looked at me with tears gathering in her eyes. “Do you know how many nights I lay beside you, hoping you would hold me without me asking? How many times I wondered whether you still found me beautiful? I kept telling myself you were tired, that work was stressful, that marriage naturally became like this.” She paused and wiped her tears. “But one day, I got tired of asking myself those questions. I wanted to know if you would notice when I stopped trying.” I moved closer to her, but she quietly shifted away. That hurt more than I expected. I asked why she hadn't told me she was feeling this way. She gave me a painful smile. “I tried, my love. I tried in so many little ways. But every time I wanted your attention, I felt like I was disturbing you. I didn't want to become a wife who had to beg her husband to make her feel loved.” My eyes filled with tears. I reached for her hand, and she allowed me to hold it. But she didn't squeeze mine the way she used to. Then she said the words that broke something inside me. “I didn't stop loving you. I just wanted to know whether you would come looking for me when I stopped coming looking for you.” I pulled her into my arms and apologized. I promised to listen more and stop taking her love for granted. She cried against my chest that night, and I held her until she fell asleep. But the following morning, she was quiet again.

NYSC KEH??? DONE AND DUSTED CONGRATULATIONS TO ME JHOOR 🎊🎉🎊
He grew up in Houston, Texas, attended university in Nigeria, and returned to America thinking NYSC would be one of the most memorable experiences of his life. Instead, one encounter during his service made him swear he would never come back to Nigeria for NYSC again. 🇺🇸🇳🇬 His name was Daniel Carter. Daniel was 16 when his parents moved him from Houston, Texas, to the United States after spending part of his childhood in Lagos, Nigeria. He later lived in Atlanta, Georgia, and spent his final teenage years in Dallas, Texas. Years later, Daniel made a decision his American friends couldn't understand. He returned to Nigeria to attend university. His parents thought he would reconnect with his roots, experience a different culture, and build relationships with family members he barely knew. Daniel also believed studying in Nigeria would give him a deeper understanding of where his family came from. He graduated, and then came the next step: NYSC. Daniel was excited. He imagined meeting new people, contributing to a community, and collecting stories he could share when he returned to America. But his excitement didn't last. During his service, he was posted to a community far from the comfortable life he had known in Dallas. The accommodation was poor, transportation was difficult, and the monthly allowance barely covered his basic expenses. Still, he told himself to adjust. Then came the encounter that changed everything. One morning, Daniel arrived at his place of primary assignment, expecting to carry out his duties as usual. Instead, he was confronted by a supervisor who publicly humiliated him, accusing him of being arrogant simply because he had grown up in America. Daniel tried to explain himself, but the situation got worse. His background became a joke, his accent attracted mockery, and his attempts to defend himself were treated as disrespect. What hurt him most wasn't the difficult environment. It was feeling as though he had to prove that he deserved basic respect. He had returned to Nigeria hoping to reconnect with his roots. Now, he was questioning whether he had made a terrible mistake. That evening, he called his older cousin in Houston. His cousin asked him one question: “Daniel, if you knew it would be like this, would you still have come?” Daniel stayed quiet for several seconds. Then he answered: “Never again. Once I finish this service, I'm going back to America. I won't return for another service year, and I won't put myself through this again.” He completed his NYSC, packed his belongings, and returned to the United States. Back in Dallas, he slowly rebuilt his routine, but the experience stayed with him. Daniel never regretted learning about his Nigerian heritage. What he regretted was expecting the experience to be something it wasn't. Sometimes, returning to your roots teaches you that belonging to a place and feeling accepted there are two very different things. If you were Daniel, would you give Nigeria another chance, or would you leave that chapter behind forever?
