This is the post of the Year.
Christ was born into a family, not an empire. His thirty hidden years were spent not in revolution but in obedience, labor, custom, and prayer. That is our pattern.
To rebuild Christian civilization after the fall of liberalism, we must build hidden Nazareths everywhere—homes of justice, work, prayer, and joy. From these will come a society in which Christ is King, not only of hearts, but of land, law, and labor.

🚨 A woman who grew up 10 minutes from Dearborn, Michigan, just laid out the playbook she’s watched unfold firsthand:
“These Muslims move into one area, they take over, and they start running for public office. They literally buy up the houses in that area and will not sell them to anybody besides Muslims. Why do you think they want these big Islam communities with schools and everything else?”
She says they’re trying to build an “EPIC City”-style enclave near her own home. Her warning is blunt: they are not here to assimilate. “They are not here to be our friends. They are not here for anything other than to take over and implement Sharia law. That is the end goal.”
Her message: Americans must stand up and vote for the country they want their children to inherit, or the next generation will deal with the consequences. “My daughter is 6 years old. She is going to have to deal with this if we do not put a stop to what’s going on right now.”
Get educated on their agenda. Dearborn is the preview. ACT NOW

🚨 JUST IN: VP JD Vance EMOTIONALLY ERUPTS on North Carolina Senate candidate and ex-Gov. Roy Cooper, who Decarlos Brown Jr. was RELEASED under to m*rder Iryna Zarutska
"He does NOT deserve to be on the streets, he deserves to have his a*s in PRISON, FOREVER, and if he would, SHE'D still BE ALIVE!" 🎯🎯
Instead of keeping violent repeat offenders locked up, Cooper and soft-on-crime Democrats pushed "racial equity" task force that RELEASED CRIMINALS
Do not reward Democrats with a Senate seat for literally betraying Americans. North Carolina needs to vote RED

Virtually none of it but WY has been trying to get California/Washington to open ports for years.
Wyoming produces over 200mm short tons of coal/year and it’s easily the largest coal producing State and it’s virtually 100% thermal.
This is what a convert to a new religion would say, even if he wears the vestments of a Catholic.

Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco has said the Church is “not there to convert”, arguing that proselytism is “poison” and that Christians should approach other religions through fraternity rather than seeking conversions

He's done an amazing job.
I'm a liturgical ignoramus and I've greatly appreciated LB's work.
He opened my eyes to the amazing depth and power of the TLM!!
Thank you LB!!
In case you haven't noticed, I'm taking a break from daily liturgical posting. I've done it for over six years now, and I'm burned out.
I've done some consulting work/editing for the 2027 edition of a popular 1962 Ordo; I would suggest that as a resource for the 1962 rubrics, and Rubricarius's St. Lawrence Press Ordo is the gold standard for pre-55 (aside from the fact that he doesn't recognize anything after 1939, so you won't get the 1940-55 Pius XII changes in that resource).
I can answer occasional questions on specific issues is anyone is interested, but that's it for the foreseeable future. I apologize again, but I just can't do it anymore.

The biggest problem is that the minimum efficient scale for most coal mines is going to be at least 10,000 TPM in the Eastern U.S. and much larger in the Western Subbituminous Basin.
As we hardly consume coking coal in the U.S. any longer, and cost structure and global markets do not support exporting thermal coal, this has created a series of captive markets.
People in my part of the world are, at this point, captive to international trade. India and China treat steel production as strategic industries and have a more than less coherent purchasing “plan” that rationalizes import.
We have no such coherent “trade plan” (federally or a confederation of coal suppliers) for a variety of economic and legal reasons but, ultimately, U.S. coal producers have tended to be the anvil, not the hammer.
Of course, the current administration has tried to help with tax credits and “soft subsidies” but it’s still way out of the money (and natural gas subsidies, and natgas is the closest economic substitute for thermal coal, lap coal subsidies by an “order of magnitude^2”).
So, in spite of it all, it’s a wreck. The U.S. is effectively at the forefront of the information economy but we have not figured our way out of it for a substantial proportion of our workers and economic blocks.
It’s “buggered up” as we say in West Jefferson County my friend.
But holler if you need some house coal. I gotchu’ covered.
