If you built a financial model for an electrical power system in Nigeria that only works when consumers pay an average of ₦100,000 per month (₦1,200,000 per annum) - then you have to quickly discard the model.
First, Nigeria's GDP per capita is only about $1,200 (₦1,560,000) - and you cannot expect ordinary Nigerians to spend 77% of that on just electricity.
It is also mentally lazy to say, "Nigerians are too poor to afford electricity" - what you are saying essence, is that Nigerians are too poor to afford a > 100 year old technology.
If that is the case, who made them poor? And whose responsibility is to grow the economy?
Do you want a prosperous Nigeria where your children and grandchildren can live in peace and prosperity - or do want future chaos in a medieval hell hole?

Hi guys! ❤️
We're doing another fundraiser for @AduratheArtist and his dad, who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The goal is to raise ₦20 million, and ₦9.1 million has already been raised. We still have ₦10.9 million to go.
Please support if you can. Every contribution helps, and if you can't contribute financially, a repost or helping spread the word would mean a lot.
Let's show up for Adura and his family. ❤️🤝🏾

I think as we get older we get comfortable with ‘boring’ because over time - experience - make us realize ‘excitement’ go in tandem with chaos.
Even risks are deliberated on a while.
This is why folks tilt toward conservatism as they age.
‘Boring’ is not always a bad thing.

Hi Everyone, please I need your help.
I’ve battled Keloid since I was 2 as a result of the first ear piercing which was done at birth and was done wrongly.
My parents have gone through several options given to them and it keeps reoccurring.
I’ve done several surgical removal that I can’t even keep count both in general hospitals and private hospitals and they always finish up with kenalog as usual, I did cryotherapy for 2years with a popular Bumps clinic and the pain from the procedure almost paralyzed the left part of my body as it became weaker and I couldn’t use it, still it resurfaced.
Since 2015 I’ve been in and out of the hospital over this keloid, one general hospital suggested removing the whole ear which might cause another issue as it could still grow again.
I’ve been going through excruciating pains, every single day of my life I’m in pains, I’ve been popping painkillers like who’s taking candy, I barely sleep at night
Most days I’m awake till morning, once it’s night I get scared cos the pains becomes unbearable.
Sometimes I take sleeping pills just to get through the night.
I can’t go out, I can’t even show up for my business, my parents and siblings have had to give up their finances every single year because of me. Last year November, my sister single-handedly took care of the bills for the procedure I did.
At some point the Keloid started to accumulate abscess, it becomes so much that I’ve had to go through drainage process, I did one last year as well.
And all of these have made the keloid very aggressive and it grows faster by the day, the last removal procedure I did was in April of last year, the growth you’re seeing in frame 1 is just 1year and 7months growth which is unusually fast.
Since I finished my service year I’ve been at home because I couldn’t work with this condition, I even had to let go of a few job opportunities I was recommended for with the hope of getting this done before I fully commit.
A doctor I met recommended LASUTH earlier this year and since May I’ve been trying to get booked for surgery, initially I was booked for surgery but I wasn’t told everything it entailed, my first surgery date was September 11th and it was moved later on due to the strike.
I was opportuned to secure a consultation again with the Burns and Plastic unit (BPSU) yesterday in LASUTH and the consultant put me through everything I needed for the keloid to not reoccur.
He said I needed at least 2 Radiotherapy sessions of which one has to be done exactly 24hrs after the surgical removal and then another few weeks after.
After which I have to undergo chemotherapy and then post op care which includes injections, drugs, silicone creams, and any other recommended care.
The Radiotherapy is to be done in LUTH (I was given a reference letter for it) after making enquiries in LUTH, the estimate of one radiotherapy session was given at 2.5m, and I’ll be needing 2sessions which sums up to 5m. Then the surgery for the removal of the Keloid costs 1.2m and I’ve been able to come up with that. Then after the surgery I’m to undergo chemotherapy and post op care but I have not been told how much that would cost, so I am unsure of the entire cost of that but the estimation according to what I’ve researched is about 2m.
LASUTH have given me November 19th for my next and last consultation before the removal and this simply means I have to come up with the money for everything before then.
So in total what will be needed for the successful surgery and post op care is 8.2m of which I’ve already raised 1.2m and I’m left to source for 7m before the 19th of November.
This was really really hard for me to do as I have never done this before but this is my last resort as I have exhausted all my options and I have spent more than 6months alone trying to get booked with LASUTH.
Please help me get my life back together 🙏
Any amount will go a long way🙏

URGENT PUBLIC APPEAL
I never imagined having to make a post like this, but I desperately need your help.
On October 31, while covering a wedding at Oriental Hotel, Lagos, my bag was stolen from inside the bride's room.
The bag contained my MacBook Pro M1 and
FOUR external hard drives holding approximately FIVE weddings yet to be delivered to my clients.
These are not just files. They are people's once in a lifetime memories, months of hard work and my livelihood.
Thankfully, we have obtained CCTV footage showing the individual entering, taking my bag and leaving the hotel.
I'm offering a N500,000 REWARD for credible information leading to the identification of this individual and recovery of my belongings through the appropriate authorities.
Please you can send a message or call this number for any update 09033892670
Please guys help me repost abeg, this is very important please. 🙏🏾

nigerians will go to the polls in January, 2027 and vote for the very party that astronomically ballooned their cost of living.
then come back here 6 months later to continue their whinging/complaining forgetting they have a choice to protest with their votes.
seen this happen in many elections cycles it’s almost biblical now.
do I have hopes? just a tinge of it.
wouldn’t hold my breathe tho.

Efetobore Timilehin Tega-Taire, a 21-year-old final-year anthropology student at the University of Ibadan (UI), can no longer see with either eye, and his father is struggling to raise N15.92 million for surgeries that doctors say could restore his sight.
Timilehin, who was preparing for his final examinations and sign-out ceremony in November, has had problems with his eyesight for about five years. However, his condition recently worsened, leading to further medical interventions at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
Lucky Tega-Taire, his father who lives in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, told FIJ that the family had been referred to Skipper Eye-Q Super Specialty Eye Hospitals in Victoria Island, Lagos, after UCH said it lacked the necessary equipment to treat him.
According to Tega-Taire, the hospital has estimated the cost of surgery at N7.96 million per eye, leaving the family with a total bill of N15.92 million for both eyes. He said the family had raised only N1.5 million and was appealing to the public for help.

The reason I don’t like political jobbers in Nigeria is a lack of personal ideology. If Satan offers them some money they’d say God was wrong

Nigeria is a satire
Tribalism is not absolutely bad, if we put it to work.
The Minister of Works can be from your state and he will not prioritize fixing the bad roads in your locality.
Eg Mike Onolememen is from Edo State and was the Minister of Works under Goodluck Jonathan's administration but he didn't fix the Auchi-Benin Road that cut across his community in Edo Central. Mind you, same region had preciously produced the ultimate godfather of PDP politics, Tony Anenih as Minister of Works and Housing under Obasanjo administration, but that road is still a nightmare today.
The Minister of Sports can be from your State and there will be no functional or standard stadium in your community.
Eg. Solomon Dalung is from Plateau State and was the Minister of Sports under the Buhari administration but there's currently an elephant stadium project that was started in the 1980's and may not see its completion. It is even more hilarious that subsequent administrations prefer to renovate the old smaller stadiums than complete this one with a bigger capacity.
The Minister of Transportation can be from your State and your transport network will be halfway done.
Eg. Rotimi Amaechi is from Rivers State and was Minister of Transportation under Buhari but he did not continue a rail project he started as Governor, perhaps due to his ruckus with the then incumbent Governor Wike. Rather, he undertook a rail project from Daura up to Maradi in Niger a neighbouring country to prove his loyalty to Buhari.
So many scenarios like this.
You don see tribalism wey suppose favour us, but egusi is yoruba soup copied by Igbo and groundnut soup is sweeter than miyan kuka abi?

"This is one of the most unpatriotic statements I have ever heard in my life. If you understand what this man said here, then you will understand how disturbing it is to have people with this type of mindset run our government.
What he said outrightly here is that they at ACN (now APC) knew that Jonathan's government was doing well. They knew that the policy he was trying to implement was very good for Nigeria and Nigerians but because they didn't want him to succeed they lied to Nigerians about the policy. We knew that Jonathan was right but because we wanted to take power, we found a way to condemn what he was doing and even deceived Nigerians to come out and protest against it. Simply put, what this man is saying here is that they knew Nigeria was heading to a good direction but they disrupted it for their own selfish reasons. What it means is that these guys don't mind putting Nigeria in a bad condition just so they can get power.
This is so serious and so disturbing. He is actually saying that all the protests they organised against Jonathan were fake and NEVER about the interest of Nigeria or Nigerians but just for them to grab power. Now I understand why Peter Obi would always say, that he won't be in any coalition just for the sake of grabbing power.
This statement from this man shows you that the people in power right now don't give a damn about Nigerians. Now you understand why they implement these harsh policies since 2015. Now you understand why they live in plenty while Nigerians are becoming poorer by the day.
Now you understand why APC has thrown over hundred million Nigerians into poverty. It's simple. They don't care. Everything is politics for them. They play politics with people's lives. Very dangerous and very pathetic. God forbid.
Dear Nigerians, this man has told us plainly that APC is not in power for you but for themselves.
We must do something about it in 2027."
