As a result of constant persuasion and coordination for last six months, a MoU was signed this morning between @HdmcHubliDwd and NVVN (subsidiary of NTPC) for solid waste management
This will create a facility for converting 200 tonnes of solid waste every day into fuel.

NTPC will buy 5 million tonnes of pellets made from paddy straw every year to cofire with coal. This will help reduce paddy straw burning. It will also be carbon neutral to that extent.
