A RETURN TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE
69 vehicles burned and around 100 Kurdish families attacked while returning home to Girê Spî (Tal Abyad) after years of forced displacement. The attacks were carried out by settlers and ISIS cells backed by Turkey, in full view of the STG.

“Syrians displaced by years of conflict must be able to return home safely and voluntarily, free from violence and intimidation,” the spokesperson said.
The U.S. reaffirmed its support for a unified Syria where Kurds and all other communities enjoy equal citizenship, security, and meaningful participation in governance.
