What is ailing today's Vokkaliga youth ?
I have tried to summarise them in a Venn diagram below.
Though the Kannada roots are fundamental, the other factors are clear distractions.
Hindutva, Left liberal wokeism, Gowda pride are destroying common Vokkaligas.

Out of 117 in Chikkaballapura, 60 are from Bagepalli Taluk. Same goes with Tumakuru where most of the Telugu inscriptions are from Pavagada Taluk.
The only one insc in Bagalakot is from Badami temple cave. It was inscribed at the time of Aravidu Kings of Vijayanagara.

The empires in Ancient India were Ethnolinguistic empires. They were the homelands of respective ethnic communities.
Sanskrit was not the "Royal language". That's false. Sanskrit ceased to be spoken language before Panini.
Indian regionalism is a constitutional construction. This is why linguistic reorganization was a terrible idea. Not because I'm fundamentally opposed to it in principle, but because India is way too linguistically diverse to be reorganized politically. India's linguistic diversity varies from town to town let alone state to state. Any grouping of districts would automatically pit one against the other. Added to this our constitution also believes in one person- one vote formula complicating the relationships between states. These issues are not just about 'arrogant' migrants who refuse to learn, but about Constitutional systems and artificial linguistic identities.
This is why ancient Indian empires were able to avoid these clashes. Because apart from a royal language (sanskrit), each local district used it's own language. (Not a sub national grouping like a state)
