Sara – Senanayaka Mawatha 🐾🤍 Sara was brought to us after going without food for five days. 💔 At the time of presentation, she was unable to stand, had an enlarged abdomen, and showed pale mucous membranes. Her X-rays revealed fluid in the chest and abdomen, along with spondylosis. 🩺 Initial supportive treatment has been started, and we’re awaiting her blood test results. Pop – Panadura 🐾🤍 Pop was brought to us after being involved in an accident yesterday. 💔 At the time of presentation, Pop was recumbent and unable to see, with a swollen left forelimb and dry, alopecic areas across the body. Nawin – Nawagamuwa 🐾🤍 Today’s rescue is Nawin from Nawagamuwa. He was found with a large cancerous growth on his nose, making it difficult for him to breathe. 💔 Nawin is now safely in our care, and treatment will begin tomorrow. 🩺🤍 We’ll do everything we can to help him feel better and give him the care he deserves. Morin – Moratuwa 🐾🤍 Morin was brought to us with a loss of appetite and a previous history of chronic kidney disease, although the details of her medical history remain unclear. 💔 Blood tests have been carried out, and we are currently awaiting the results to better understand her condition. Gabriel 🐾 Gabriel was brought to us following a road traffic accident. Although she is able to stand on her own, she is currently unable to walk. 💔 Knuckling was observed in the right forelimb and hindlimb, with sluggish neurological reflexes on the right side. Gabriel is also anorexic and in need of close monitoring 🩺 Radiographs revealed spondylosis. Snowy – Panadura 🐾 Snowy was brought to us with limping in the right hind limb. On examination, an old wound was observed on the medial side of the right leg, along with a heavy tick infestation. 💔 Thankfully, X-rays showed no fractures.
