Al-Awda Hospital in North #Gaza is now out of service after an evacuation order today – @WHO has been informed by the Ministry of Health.
97 people, including 13 patients, remain inside.
WHO is planning a mission tomorrow to transfer patients to another facility, despite the ongoing insecurity.
Due to impassable roads, the hospital’s medical equipment cannot be relocated.
With Al-Awda’s closure, there is no remaining functional hospital in North Gaza — severing a critical lifeline for the people there.
WHO pleads for the hospital's protection and staff and patients’ safety, and reiterates its call for the active protection of civilians and health care.
Hospitals must never be attacked or militarized. Ceasefire!
This woman is a legend and I can’t wait to see her journey towards olympics number 9! #chuso

Dear 🇬🇧,
Here’s your weekly reminder that 10 years ago, your NHS was ranked the #1 healthcare system on Earth. You don’t need a new system. You need a new govt that won’t destroy your public NHS to feed a private system. Your family isn’t safe in #ToryBritain.

ALT The 2013 Commonwealth Fund Overall Healthcare Rankings. The UK’s public system was ranked 1 overall. The privatised US system was ranked last overall. Private healthcare is always worse for patients and worse for the taxpayer. You don’t need a new system. You need a new government that won’t catastrophically defund the NHS.

Just heard Dr Emma Runswick on Radio 4.
She made it quite clear that junior doctors’ have no preconditions for negotiations - but the Government refuses to meet them.
No one from the Dept of Health was willing to come on the programme.
Where are you @SteveBarclay?

Today marks – for the 2nd year in a row – the unilateral imposition of a new GP contract by a government completely out of touch with the challenges faced by general practice and the needs of its patients. Find out what this means for you bma.org.uk/pay-and-contracts…

What is the @iocmedia doing by allowing them back? This makes no sense. Stop the war then it can be discussed. Shame on the IOC!

The GP contract for 2023/24 came out yesterday.
It starts on the 1st April - tomorrow.
I have approximately 200 pages of contract to read and understand today, in between seeing patients.
The way the NHS is run is a farce.

88 GPs left the NHS in January this year
2078 fewer fully qualified GPs now than in 2015
Each GP now has 2283 to care for, 18% more than in 2015
No wonder patients are finding it difficult get appointments
Years of neglect by this government has led to an NHS on its knees
Patiently awaiting any updates from @ComeFromAwayUK & @alice_fearn 👀
