@nichd @NIHPainResearch @PelvicPainOrg @IASPpain you could run an entire 2 day meeting explaining why @SandyHiltonPT uses all these props in order to treat some of the most challenging chronic pain cases

Curl-up exercises do NOT worsen diastasis recti, pelvic floor issues, low back, pelvic girdle or abdominal pain in women post pregnancy ❌ But they DO increase abdominal muscle strength and thickness! 👍 sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

My sister was told she needed a TKR a few years back for knee OA ‘Bone on bone’. Instead I told her to get on the bike; get strong and build up gradually - she just walked to Everest base camp with her own knee. Why are patients not given evidence based approaches first?

Some highlighted points so far Functional mobility status influences a person's nutritional intake. Where people come from changes their eating habits. The issue is not we are consuming too much of the bad, it is we are not getting enough of the good.

Modify one healthy thing/food at a time with your patient. Modify the thing that person is most ready to change.

If any students end up in Greenville, SC for clinicals, hit me up! People shouldn’t sleep in cars or burn through savings for an education.
This is not how clinical education should be 😣

Yep! Just nodding my head as he says “I left one siloed profession for another”. I love the combo, and the intent to keep people out of the healthcare system!

I'm bias in my response, but I have a full day course scheduled in July @EntropyPhysio in Chicago, live or online. entropy.physio/store-profess… Alternatively, there are a few cert courses (grad credits) through a couple Universities.

💡 An interesting read: "In reality, #EBP asks more of clinicians, not less. It challenges them to accept flaws in their reasoning and recognize their own biases, and demands that they develop the skills to find, appraise, and integrate research #evidence into their practice"
Engaging with research: The 1st in @stevekamper1's illuminating series - linking evidence with practice in @JOSPT "Well-executed EBP does not dismiss clinical experience" EBP is a challenge & requires clinicians to carefully consider bias generally! jospt.org/doi/10.2519/jospt.…

More intensive studies needed? OMG self perpetuating industry. It doesn’t move like other major joints, it creaks and groans like an expansion joint. It prevents a rigid pelvis, it allows pliability. Can we just stop trying to prove it moves?

I do enjoy listening to @jasonsilvernail talk about the farce of “secondary gain” @SanDiegoSummit #virtualsdps20
Give credit for showing up! Getting up, getting dressed, and showing up to the clinic. Practitioners: don’t take this for granted! @SandyHiltonPT @SanDiegoSummit #virtualsdps20
